Tone deaf the club are trying to get fans to part with money when they are happy leaving a man in charge who hasnt won in 11 games. Nobody in there right mind is going to purchase that and maybe show some ambition and get rid of him before promoting tickets being sold

1st December 2023...the day I agreed with Brian Johnson! 

You are right Brian - playing the same way with no variation does make us easier to suss out! Wouldn't suggest reverting to Popeball...but just mix things up a bit...and leave 2 of the fastest on the halfway line when they have a corner / free kick? Let them worry about us breaking with pace?

It’s all about possession with purpose.

Keep ball in your own half in the 85th minute when you are losing- NO  - get  the ball forward into opponents box.

slowing an attack down, allowing the opposition get 11 men behind the ball - NO - Our goals from open play prove we are not good at breaking teams down - so we need to attack quickly & with purpose.

Keep ball when we are winning- YES

Better managers out there imo even if we had to pay a little bit of compensation but each to their own

Anyway according to Yates earlier he said he didn't think the club would act until at least January(his gut feeling) and thinks they will then back him by bringing in that goal scorer we really need

Going to need to make some chances if they are going too bring a goalscorer in.

From memory, she said "maybe" a striker coach could be brought in

The strikers we have recently brought in - Uche and Loft are fixed in type, fixed in level of ability and fixed in their limited level of goalscoring. I can't see where Crosby and Flitcroft were trying to go with them. 

If they play together them surely it's going to be more route 1 football. But the rest of the team needs adjusting to do that. Otherwise the arrangement seems to be hour / half an hour. I'm totally dismayed by that. 

So instead of solving a goalscoring problem - because we hadn't got strikers - we have swapped it for another problem by signing non prolific strikers who demand to play.

I honestly think Tom Pope would score more than Uche & Loft combined, even now.  At least he knows where the goal is and his hold up play is miles better than either of them.
