Oh it all sounded desperate. Where has the money gone? This Vale Park campus sounds lovely but won’t be going ahead in league 2 and frankly I think we be wasted on a motley crew of bargain bin signings and loans.

This January is turning into a Smurfwaite “sweetie jar” special. “Look Vale fans, let me spoil you with all these loans that I am not paying for”.

Then he has the cheek to try and fool, admittedly very effectively in some cases, people who think we are a “special” club who were scouted to take on these precious talents from Prem clubs.

The only reason these guys are here is because Flitcroft can say, well we don’t have anyone better, so of course they will get games.

Most managers at other clubs would be wary of making such promises to unproven players, but Crosby has no choice.

When you ask where has the money gone, which money do you mean??

Losing Arblaster and then Devine could have been a travesty and really put us in trouble this season. But managing to replace them with Weir and Gore, two equally talented young players who will both be chomping at the bit to play, you really have to give lots of credit to the people at the club. We all want a decent striker brought in to the club but we also have to respect that it's probably the hardest position to find someone. Most clubs are desperate for a good striker and you're going to lose out to bigger and better teams that have more money a lot before you get a bit of luck.

If Crosby plays the right way the team / squad can share goals around effectively. I'm still hoping Uche will prove effective in the second half of the season and Loft can be got playing well. We massively needed to sort the defence and I'm hoping Williams will significantly help that.

I wish we weren't playing Portsmouth first game after a lay off with new signings. But they aren't Man City etc.

On the Chelsea front. They (of course) have a load of young forwards and I think it could be anyone's guess if Vale have targeted one of them.

However, if it is a LWB then there's an obvious contender...

Zak Sturge is a 19 year-old, six foot two inches tall, attacking, left wingback. He was on loan to Peterborough for the first-half of the season but was recalled in January after "limited first-team opportunities". I reckon he could be a good bet if Vale are looking to bring LWB cover in.

DF did say last night that the lwb they wanted had to be quick powerful and be attacking

Crosby is pretty open in his interviews. I suspect it is unlikely we will be making a permanent signing for a sizeable fee this window.

My money would be Hudlin as the forward. No secret we wanted him in the summer. Huddersfield have signed a couple of forwards.  They need to make a decision about what to do with him in the summer.

LWB probably Zac Sturge as Chelsea want him to go out somewhere. Didn't do well at Peterborough.

I'd hoped we'd be in for Charlie Kirk but that seems unlikely.

Not to sure it would be Hudlin unless Uche left as he is to similar to him and Loft really,my guess is he will be a bit like Harratt, pacy and can play off the bigger striker

Possible,  although it's a bit simplistic to say because 2 players are tall they are too similar.  Constantine and Sodje were both tall men but very different players. Uche and Loft aren't that similar, although I don't think they would compliment one another.

Even my girlfriend has been calling me an annoying, miserable <ovf censored> just lately. So no harm in trying to be a glass half full person instead of half empty haha.

To be fair I feel like I've always given credit when I feel it's due though. I enjoy a bit of a moan and a rant, but would much rather give out praise and pats on the back.

Do you want free membership to the Happy Clappers Club ? 😂😂

These signings are embarrassing. Loan players, supposed to be championship ready. So crap. Sign some players for us. Carol is a joke. Stupid.
