SC Statement - Keith Ryder and discussions

Memphis

Recommended Posts

I don't consider endless reworks of 'we know nothing new' to be useful updates at all. It's basically one statement from months ago recycled upon request.

Must have missed the last statement where the SC said if Ryder doesn't take over tomorrow, then BY will be after a new potential owner.

I got the email from the supporters club late last night. This said today was D Day and they had been talking to the administrator who told them that if Keith Ryder did not complete today then action would be taken to given the second bidder a period of exclusivity to being forward a new bid. The administrator has stated that Keith Ryder is confident completion will occur today. So we will see, but the Supporters Club rightly observe that communication with the fans during the delay has not been great

I guess the Administrator had a meeting with the Supporters Club as requested. But it is extraordinary to announce this 24 hours before a deadline he has set. He should have said this a week ago or not at all.

We are now left to speculate about Keith Ryder. Is he playing brinkmanship with the Administrator or the Football League. Does he have the money and if he is struggling now, how will Port Vale go on when he is in control - I appreciate that Port Vale are engaged with new players which suggests an expectation of completed takeover.

But you know last year and earlier this year I gave people like Deakin a chance and the events that transpired were so left field as to be incredible. Therefore like many fans trust is very limited and this needs resolving soon or I may soon regret renewing my season ticket.”

You know this for a fact do you or did you dream that theory up.

I'll tell you what Jinkin John Jeffers, I will allow one of the sites administrators to agree to let me name my source to them, and them only, and they can confirm in public that I have done this?

Mo Chaudry said it in person to the person who I shall name. Would you believe me if I did that?

And don't forget I was one of the 'morons' on this website who consistently backed Chaudrys bid - for evidence look back at my post history.

The SC are doing a great job. Help out if you think you can do better. Is today the players pay day? If so there could be serious **** hitting the fan. Nothing tweeted by any as yet so let's see.

From the great work that was done last Autumn by the SC committee, I think we have all been guilty of believing that they have more power and know more than they actually do. I, for one, have certainly applied unwarranted pressure on them for which I am sorry.

Still think Benson's a tart, though

Well i'm glad, at least we'll know tomorrow either way if he is/isn't? If he does then great, let's move on forward get the players signed up, ST's out & hope for a great season.

If not then we'll have to get the idea of promotion out of our heads as we won't be able sign the players, not just the new players but even the old boys. I'm sure none of the old contracted players would be able to sign for us either, Pope, Dodds, McCombe, Shuker etc? If this is the case then we will be royally s*****d. We'll have no players for 2-3 months, it won't be promotion, it may turn into a relegation battle, similar to Plymouth?

The only thing i can remember Young saying the other day, was that the other guy (plan B) who ever he is? would of been a better bid than Ryders. Whether he meant a better deal for the creditors or he's just known to be worth a bob or two?

We'll know it all tomorrow, big day.

One hopes that a bidder who came second may have continued actions behind the scenes such as applying for fit and proper person status with the FA / Football League and maybe even submitting their plans for preliminary scrutiny. Some contracts have had the donkey work done and could be copied - e.g. with the City Council. So maybe the delay would not be that great, but it must have some impact. I know I am being unduly optimistic about the worst scenario happening.

Lets hope plan B does NOT stand for plan Bratt !

The administrator, as quoted by the Supporters Club, has said that the second bidder who may be given exclusivity has no connections with the discredited former board.

Really don't believe this site!

If you have any questions to ask then you know where I am instead of again just slagging the SC off - sometimes I just don't know why we bother

No one slagged off the SC until you said this? But hey keep looking down your nose at people on here. At least people can mention that there may be issues with the deal without getting slated.

A few points from what I've read

- The "D-day" statement is a bit OTT in my opinion. I think it's overly dramatic but that's just my opinion

- Mellor, there would be no argument re money/ signing of the document. Documents are never completed before funds are in.

- All this "I don't trust Bob Young" stuff is nonsense. Begbies are a very respected firm of administrators and they fought off serious competition for this job. It's the typical Vale fans attitude of finding someone to blame.

- Plan B will very much be in place. When KR was announced as preferred bidder, the admin's could have named the second choice, should the other party wish to be named. They will be monitoring the situation closely

- Finally, calm down. Although I have my doubts KR's deal will go through today, it is not the end of the world. There are people who want to buy this club and we will live to fight another day

Let's just see what the day brings and then worry eh? Christ, if you worried about everything that could go wrong each day, you'd never get out of bed in the morning- don't concern yourselves with "what if's" and "maybe's"
