Nigel Adkins in temp charge at Tranmere as Dawes is sacked

I have a keen interest in Tranmere. The most noticeable thing when I watch highlights is they are clearly not fit enough. That's pretty inexcusable management. Adkins is experienced. Would not surprise me if he becomes permanent.

I need to go to a Tranmere game. But too many Tuesday night games at Port Vale is blocking my motivation to go presently.

I also wonder whether the owners are luxuriating in the extra income of the Liverpool womens team playing at Prenton Park. Thus with ground rent et al for that, they are not investing sufficiently in their own team and seeking to get the gates up. I guess that's a bit too hypothetical but my Tranmere friends are pretty fed up.

I live about 4 miles from the Britannia stadium but they aren't my second team. Ooops sorry Bet365 Stadium. 😂😂😂😂

Well it's a free world. I used to watch Tranmere alot in the 1990s, possibly because my friends support Tranmere. I would like to go again soon since its been several years now. I also haven't been able to watch my Scottish team Montrose for a few years. I had a trip booked and covid-19 cancelled the whole fixture.

I visit my friend in Arbroath once a year since he moved back there from Wigan. The first year I decided I wanted to watch my first game of Scottish football. But Arbroath were away. So I chose the next town / station north which is Montrose. Once supported I can't unsupport them!  I suppose if I wanted the big time I could have chosen Aberdeen.

Sounds good to me.  I've always had an affinity to Hearts.  A friend, back in the 60s, called his Subuteo centre forward Stenhousemuir!

I went to Stenhousemuir v Fraserburgh in some Scottish Cup thing last season.  Cosy little club on outskirts of Glasgow.

Oldham sacked David Unsworth. I know they’re National League now but this could tick a lot of boxes for DC if he wanted to return to football. Got an ambitious owner and a decent sized club and fanbase so the potential is there.

My lad predicted his sacking yesterday. An embarrassing thrashing and they are in the relegation zone.

Oldham fans are wanting DC.

They have great squad that should be easily be in the top 3 of that league

Yeah, the only reason they’re not second bottom is because Southend had the points deduction too so this is definitely long overdue. Having the likes of Norwood up top should be a cheat code for them.

If DC did take it just thinking out loud but that could open up the door to getting a little bit of money off them for Tom Conlon as he was one of his favourite players and am sure he’d love to play for him again too even at that level.
