Managerial merry-go-round

Birmingham have sacked Eustace, they’re sixth in the league. Not known if it’s because he was linked with the Glasgow Rangers vacancy or new American owners want to bring in their own manager. Rooney has left DC United.

These American owners buy these lower league clubs wanting to get them to the premier league but then sack good managers and bring in 'Big Names' they then proceed to not make it to the premier league and then complain about it

They did it with Rowett and Zola. BCFC were in the play offs when this happened and just avoided relegation. Even more ridiculous is the report that be paying Rooney treble what they were paying the successful Eustace. I hope they get relegated and we play them next season. Rowett then rocked up at the Lardies, it could be a case of history repeating itself. Eustace to Stoke.?

2 sackings since leaving Swindle.

That's him done .

Think there might be a team called Swindle Supermarine he might end up there.

Shame. Lovely bloke.

I've no idea why Colchester gave him the job in the first place (or indeed Charlton before that).    You can be sure of one thing though, according to the whingeing Ben Garner, it won't have been his fault that his teams keep losing.

Mr Tambourine Man

If I was as good at my job as Garner was then I'd be unemployed on a regular basis. How do the likes of him keep getting given a managerial role in League football?

They blame the situation around them, injuries, lack of investment, lack of ambition. He’ll be back.

He's cheap and has a big GOB??.....

Who'd be a manager..Top2 after a good start now lost jobs.

I think owners have lost their minds. Thank god we have Carol & Kevin.

Agreed but I still maintain they panicked sacking Clarke.

He's a very good manager already started a mini revival at Cheltenham.

I don't think they had much choice.  My feeling is that DC must have desperately needed a break to come to terms with his loss.  The outcome also justified the means, we stayed up.

True although it panned out that had we lost all 4 games we'd of still survived but yes obviously other issues.

It was personal circumstances.  A reset in the summer might have resolved it but I think that would have been a gamble. We lost over 1m to get in to L1 - thats some gamble. Irony is we would have stayed up but I think you have to be proactive in that situation when you know things are not right rather than hoping it will be OK.

With hindsight I still think it was the right choice to be honest.

I just can't believe managers are getting sacked so early in the season.

Surely we can assist such a nice man... do we have any vacancies he can fill?

I reckon he'd be a good fit for an junior groundsman role. He'd be perfect for tasks like remembering to water the pitch before every game... :whistling:
