Stevie G is currently having a medical at Al-Ettifaq,after agreeing to give Jordan Henderson £700,000 a week?

It’ll be good for HMRC.

That depends on where he's classed as 'Resident' , I think.

FC, you could be right, I thought it depended on how long you were working outside of the UK.

Well, as I spend more than 6 months each year in France, my permanent and only home, I am classed as Resident in France, and therefore declare and pay tax on my income in France. I imagine the same rule applies to Stevie G and the likes.  So if they are still domicile in the UK, and spend a majority of their time in the UK, that's where they'll pay their tax.

TY, I’m not sure you have to pay tax in SA.

If you rent you have to live there 6 months or if you own a property just live there for 30 days per tax year to be exempt from income tax (20% if you have to pay). I’ve a friend whose son got a job there not long after he graduated 3/4 years ago and says his employer pays >5x the going rate he’d get in the UK and  he’s planning to ‘retire’ by the time he’s 30.

Academy manager with 4 years experience gets caretaker job. There is no mention of her playing football. How many football managers have not played league football? Some will only have played non league. Would be a massive task irrespective of her gender.

Alternatively, how many managers with experience of playing league footy have turned out to be absolutely sh***e?

You need to be resident and not allowed to spend over 91 days a year (averaged over 4 years) in the UK.

Didn’t know that but my friend’s son hardly ever comes ‘home’ so guess doesn’t have to worry about that caveat. He’s single (well at least not married yet) and no kids so imagine the lifestyle suits those early in their working life.  I think he spends a lot of his downtime in various eastern Med destinations and seems to only come back to the UK for Christmas, sometimes for birthday celebrations and in the Summer to go watch the cricket (internationals) with his mates from school/Uni.

Southampton B team coach David Horseman replaces Hannah Dingley as Forest Green Rogers manager. Totally not a PR stunt by Just Stop Oil funder Dale Vince to put hire the English football's first female coach in the male game for 13 days of pre-season training... I've literally never heard of a caretaker manager being appointed for a fortnight of pre-season training before. Here at Vale we have had the odd caretaker manager who hasn't actually taken charge of a match, but that's only ever been when they've stood in for some days mid-season and a new manager has been appointed quickly.

Rob Page left Vale on 19 May 2016. Bruno Ribeiro was appointed on 20 June. There was no caretaker in the interim period.

The odious Vince got him and his crap cravat another few weeks of publicity.

The players weren’t back in pre-season training in June.
