    Potter gone from Chelsea. Felt like he was swimming against the tide from the moment he took over. I always thought he was better off staying at Brighton and build up the CV more but at least he’ll get a nice payout.

    Rumoured to be on £300k a week and was on a long term contract. Complete buffoon in charge at Chels. Too many players and apparently he hasn’t wanted all of them. Tough times ahead at the Bridge. I can remember when they used to be carefree

    Sounds plausible. On top of the £21.5m they paid in compensation for him what a disaster.

    Just a very bizarre few months. They spent money like a drunken sailor all through the transfer window but not sure they’ve spent it on strengthening weaker areas of the squad or to any particular plan and then expected Potter to get a tune out of that.

    They’ve exploited a loophole in FFP where they buy a player put them on long term contracts so they initial fee is divided by the length of the contract. It’s in the process of being closed and it’s just the money spent and not affected by the length of the contract, quite rightly.
