Sorry but Vale did not deserve to win this game.  Most attacks and 2 off the line and off the crossbar.  Knew it would not go Vales way tonight after all the hype about a couple of games away from Wembley and how much it would be good to get there.

Salford players wanted it more and reacted better to the 2nd ball.

Just shows we are not clinical enough and they need to improve there.

Not helped by the ref and officials were Salford fans and allowed their players to get away with GBH on our players.  They could even kick the ball away and just laugh in front of the ref and not even get a talk.

Worrying considering how strong of an XI we put out.

Defensively all over the place against a really poor side, loads of the ball and missed countless chances ourselves.

Need a big performance Boxing Day but that felt very much a missed opportunity.

Just shows we are not clinical enough and need to improve.  Defence and midfield keep making silly mistakes.

My feelings exactly. Bearing in mind our record over the Christmas period are we in the Doldrums?

You are in agreement then that Harrison should have been sent off in the last minute of injury time for his GBH on the Salford keeper?

Always difficult to break down a side, who, after going a goal up early, sit deep with 8 or so men behind the ball.

That said, not a great performance. Not convinced about Jones in the middle of a three - whether Forrester was injured??

Thought Holden and Dennis were ok.

Ref was as weak as p**s. He was ideal for a physical/dirty Salford side and they took full advantage.

Too early to say a win over Morecambe and it’s 3 wins in 4 in the league so plenty to be positive about at the moment but the last two games have been “frustrating” I would say. We should be scoring 2 or 3 tonight with the chances we had. (Equally could of conceded a few more).

The commentators all said that Harrison did not touch him and was going past him.  If he did take their goal keeper out then he should have been booked and DC and Co should take action.  However, till I see it, then I can only take the commentators words - Harrison did not even touch their keeper and he threw himself to the ground.
