Just got in. So after ridiculous amount of beers my post will be jibberish  .

Excellent win. Mcdermott ran his knackers off without actually doing anything. Stone didn't make a single save. Hall, Smith, Worrall and Charsley were Excellent.

All in all a great day missing numerous first team regulars and we managed to put on a good show.

Well done lads and onwards and upwards

Think McDermott is miles away yet physically but didn't disgrace himself at all, and if we have a full fit squad wouldn't have made the bench yet. He probably learned more this afternoon than all of his prior games at youth level combined.

When I was 17 I was still watching Saved By The Bell and had only just stopped believing that Santa was real, so fair play to him.

Dont normally comment, but thought I'd give it a go.
1. Rabbits in headlights first 15 mins, but got a grip afterwards.
2. Bennington MOM for me, but others were up there.
3. No panic moments, and Management team have clearly got them listening.
4. Referee as bad as anything we had last season including Trevor. Very biased and inconsistent.
5. Ojo, Holden and Mcdermott all very steady and should fit the system.
6. Hope Vale appeal Smith yellow card. A yellow card is for only 6 reasons :-
Unsportman-like behaviour
Dissent by word or deed
Repeated infringement of the rules
Delaying the restart of play
Not maintaining the correct distance from a corner or free-kick.
Leaving or re-entering the field of play without the referee’s permission.
Clearly none of those fit the circumstances. If the referee deemed it be foulplay then surely it should have been a red card. A yellow. Simply doesn't fit.

I saw the incident and it was caused by the the Fleetwood player turning his head into Smith as Smith jumped. It was not a foul. If it was, should have been a red for dangerous play.. referee was poor.

Not sure, but I don't think that yellows are appealable.

Great results today, Vale win, Stoke defeat, Swindon getting stuffed.
Not great but notice Harratt was sent off today for Bradford.

98th minute violent conduct.

His family have sold him a pup...Mark Hughes as manager. It's on his doorstep but all of a sudden he's 4th choice! Played out on the left in friendly games too.

You've spoiled my night with your comment about Santa....I'm gutted

Why are Vale fans seemingly so random in deciding who gets their own song? McDermott has one already, Connor Hall got one for the first time (at home at least, I don't travel away) after 6 months, and Mal Benning, Tom Pett and Brad Walker don't have one? Just asking!

I hope when Forrester plays the fans just don't sing,We hate Stoke.

He'll be pushing Smith and Cass.

Massey will be pushing Wozza and Cass.

Small will be pushing Mal and Hussey.

Pett and Walker will be pushing Ojo.

Conlon and Holden will be looking to try to oust McDermott.

We have Wilson to come back.

Garrity and Charsley are selfless players who will play anywhere.

I haven't named them all and they aren't the best squad I've seen but you can't fault the commitment in the group.

I'm well pleased

Ok I'll set myself up for ridicule but here goes.....Did any one notice if the girder work and roof in the Railway Stand and paddock have been painted black or is it just my senile self who thinks it has, if it has, it's looking good, if it hasn't I'll book into Specsavers !

Also what an improvement widening the paddock frontage has made, a real improvement......

Crap start, crap goal.

Turned it around, deserved to win, could have had at least 4.

Charsley was class. Garrity below his usual levels. We've blantantly robbed Harrogate for Connor Hall, robbed. Talking of Harrogate, Swindon lol.

Hope Fleetwood's taxi sized away following enjoyed their timewasting and throwing themselves to the ground from the 6th minute onwards as I didn't.

Not surprised to see the officals at this level are still as useless as they were at the last one.

Onwards.
