Stoke fans attending VP

I have posted this on another thread and i personally feel it needs a thread on its own.

Look, if any Stoke fan wants to come to VP on Tuesday night then let them be. This is about the survival of my football club for years to come. In our darkest hour we need everyone to step up to the plate whether it be Stoke, Man Utd, Newcastle Town to promote the wellbeing of PORT VALE FOOTBALL CLUB. I plea with all PVFC fans regardless of other opposition colours let them be and for the good of football lets embrace and hope PVFC continues. I have a lot of SCFC fans and most wish us well and to that end if any Stoke fans want to support our cause by wearing there shirts they are welcome to sit by me.

I third this notion - however caution should be exercised - If the fans of any other club are coming to support us in our plight, and are not pulling the wool, i.e. just coming for a rucus. Then I would like to welcome them with open arms. The only issue is, are they coming for the right reasons, another Police bill is not what we need right now!!!

Yeah, there are plenty of Stokie mates of mine who have shown genuine concern about the Vale and would make a gesture by coming along on Tuesday. Whatever they wore, i thing we should forget our differences for a bit and let 'em in to show support.

Stoke offering to give us a pre season friendly to raise money is also a nice gesture by them, and still there are those who would throw it in their face. We need to remember how dire the situation is for us - we shouldn't be above accepting help if it pays off some of these crippling debts.

Agreed. Open your eyes people, even if it is done for the right reasons, we will lose more on police bills than we would gain from SCFC fans turning up. By all means turn up, but don't wear a Stoke shirt, if you are coming to show support for the Vale.

As I posted elsewhere, it needs raising at the SC on Sunday, so an assurance can be given to all visitors, that they will all be welcome on Tues, Sat etc, especially in our hour of need. Situation to be highlighted in the local media.

But that is the point mate. To turn up for a Vale game in a Stoke shirt, for a Stoke fan is a sign of support for your club. It is a visual statement for whoever is watching that football fans stand together against the the ****ers that bleed the working mans game dry. It is not to rub anyones nose in it except them at the top that forget who these clubs really belong to. Us the fans.

Im personally more for the pre-season friendly idea that Pulis Touted, and we give you two ends of the ground to bring your supporters. Its still showing solidarity. Plus it should be a reminder that althugh we are two leagues apart we still need each other in the area.
