Couldn't agree more. Enjoyed the commentary on Tuesday night; actually learned things about the opposition e.g. there goalie was only 19, on loan from West Brom etc.

Had enough today, turned the commentary off and slammed some appropriate vinyl on. Did the trick.........

I quite enjoyed today's commentary but I much preferred Tuesday night's: crisp, informative and above all focussed on the play. Watching today, I wondered what on earth radio listeners would be making of the times when there was no commentary but plenty of chat. I kept thinking Why are they not describing the play? It just made the game sound disjointed.

Our next league 2 opponents Tranmere just sacked their manager

They were truly a terrible side. Credit to us for making sure we don’t slip up and we put in a professional performance that could have seen us score more.

Why whenever we win is it always a terrible side,i dont actually think they were as bad as some we have played, this game was very tricky and on we would of drawn last season, they were quick up top but luckily no end product as legge was done a couple of times...really good result imo, just a real shame we dont play scunthorpe on Tuesday though to keep up the momentum.

Thought Crookes played well today and Burgess is back to the Burgess of last season and just needs a goal now

And, of course, the Askey doubters who were so concerned with us "plummeting" down the League, will be silent for another couple of days, or so! Theo has had the same kind of stick that Pope occasionally gets, as has Worrall and even Conlon. Let's not go over the top on criticisms, people...because when things turn around, your over-critical posts just make you look stupid!!!

As i put on another thread Askeys record with Vale is verging on excellent considering and continues to get better.

On a side note Clark is well and truly back in the swing,i think he is a must to try and get signed up somehow as he himself has had enough of u23 football and loves it here,an investment that will imo make us money in the future

Would love him to signed up. Clarke if you read this

Confirmed that Rodney has tested positive but feeling ok.

I assume he car shares with Fitzpatrick and Whitehead as they are all from Manchester way. Hence why they will need to self isolate.

I understand why, but can't really see the point when they all share a team bus every other game. Unless it's mandated individual travel this season?

Is Joyce not part of the Manchester car school as well?

Sure him and Worrall drive in together.

I think there must be 2 groups coming from that way.

Joyce and Worrall are definitely in one.

They were terrible, like a bunch of kids going through the motions with very little threat or passion or desire to get back into the game, but nowhere did I say we won because of that.  In the past we’ve slipped up against teams like this, today was a very professional performance.

Yes all 3 of them car share which is why the other 2 have had to isolate.

Superb today Vale. These are the games that we have to win if we're serious about going up. And we did. Feed the Pope! He is the best striker in the club, possibly the best in the division. He should start most games and he will score most games if he does. UTV!

These are usually the type of games I dread.

Thoroughly professional and focused performance from us today. Excellent!
