Nothing against Fitzpatrick but if Askey knew this was coming and wanted to use Monty further up then would have slashed out for Mitch Clark, surely?

I thought Rodney did ok on the wing, he got over 3 or 4 decent crosses and tracked back well. The team looked better with him down the middle. For me the big problem first half was Robinson looked like a player who had only done a week of preseason and looked very leggy. We were almost playing 432 by the end of the half. It also helped having Joyce on.

Robinson was gassing after 10 mins!! I’d suggest he has a session down Hanley Forest Park next week with Micky!!

The impression I get from Askey is he creates that family atmosphere at the club. So therefore if someone doesn't want be here he will quicklu find someone who does. He knows who he wants and needs at the club. SonI agree with you.

As is Harry McKirdy I think. If a club can get his head right there is a very good league 2 player. For me Grant looks a season past his sell by date.

He played well against us. He has a reputation as very inconsistent,  is really a central midfield player who has also played centrehalf at Gillingham.
