Saturday's protest

No, I said hold back season ticket money to hurt Smurthwaite in the pocket, he would have to do something about it long before new season started so wouldn’t affect any manager.

Rather than paying monthly hold onto your money, save it then if and whrn the time is right you can purchase a ST or not. I believe a good number will not purchase a ST, like myself and my girls. Hopefully this will make smurthwaite take note.

Hi all so I’m not hiding behind a name I’m Mark Porter, firstly if you don’t want to protest that’s absolutely fine I have no issue with that however I am convinced that we have to show our discontent with the owner and how the club has been run, we all will be supporting the club at 3pm but we also will be making our point with the protest.

To those who think we are wrong let me tell you this my Dad took me to my first game in 1978, I took my son to his first game in 2005 I want my son to be able to take his children but right now the way the club is going it won’t be here in 5 years. We face football oblivion and Saturday gives us a chance to show how much we care, I will Stand tall for my club and try and protect it for generations to come. I’ve been threatened and have had abuse this week but it will never wain my love for Port Vale thank you to Black & Gold for coming out to stand with us. See you all at 2pm Saturday at the Town hall KTF

Mark. I find it absolutely appalling that you have been threatened and abused. Those responsible clearly are not worthy of any association with our great Club. Stand tall mate, we are right behind your protests concerning the abysmal way Vale are being run. Bullies never win, they may think they do.

Why has the march been arranged at exactly the time all supporters will be walking to the match.

Is it just simply to boost numbers?

Sorry should of explained. If we were to march from the town hall down to middleport then we could not of shown our support for the team at 3pm. Thats the reason why this was decided.

Abuse of any kind either defending the owner or in protest against him is despicable, what on earth are people thinking. I feel your pain and offer you my heartfelt support against such stupid behaviour, do people not realise this is Great Britain where democracy and free speech are encouraged. Stupid bully boy behaviour, simply stupid.

Why do you look better in the dark?

(Joke to preempt those those with a sense of humour bypass).

Everything looks better in the dark mate..... imagine a night match playing as we are.... wouldn't you think it better with the lights off?

Dark and heavy snowfall..... the great equalisers.
