Massive game but one we can win...

Morecambe will be Morecambe, you know what you will get they will sit deep and be difficult to break down and try and nick one so getting the first goal is crucial, concede and they will park the bus big time.

An early goal for us could then open the game up which may suit us better... now with Morecambe likely to be defensive Askey will surely not play both Joyce and Kay (oddly since Kay has come in the form has nose dived!

I’m hoping we see askeys style in this one. I’d bring howkins in as he was excellent for us last year, for rawlinson who’s been poor recently. I’d play pope it 100% fit. Manny back in the side if fit. Wouldn’t play either Kay or joyce.

I still think Rawlinson is ahead of Howkins, purely because Howkins hasn’t played games of this level since the end of last season. But Rawlinson does need to up his game quickly to keep his place.

We definitely missed manny on Saturday, from the point of view of being able to get hold of the ball and carry it.

Not sure playing both pope and Harris worked as they seem so similar.

I still think Pope and Whitfield is our best pairing personally.

I hate this terminology of 15 Cup Finals.

Michael Brown used it in the run in to relegation and so did Lambert at Stoke.

Almost implies that they are trying harder, shouldn't all 46 games be treated as though it's your last game.

100 per cent effort should be a given, you shouldn't try harder just because you are either struggling or going for promotion.

Very interesting team selection this weekend after a full weeks training. I do agree that Askey was caught between a rock and a hard place at Cambridge.

We've been ok away so to make wholesale changes he would of got criticised, it didn't work .

Hopefully a full week with them gives us a more attacking team as i'm sure Morecambe would snap hands off for a point and i believe are rather dreary away from home.

The manager’s commments in today’s Sentinel are worrying, he indicates consistency and not to make too many changes

He also thought we weren’t too far away on Saturday

Did he watch the game blindfolded?

Who gives a monkey's about some comments? From now on, the ONLY thing that matters is getting enough points to get safe and put this wretched season behind us.

I don't care if we manage 5 dull 1-0 wins to get safe. I've long given up on caring about anything else.

1 or 2 changes would do as long as one is either Kay or Joyce.

I didn't think it was THAT bad Saturday, arguably had more decent chances than most of the previous away games that we had drew/won narrowly.

He did say he will have a look at players in the reserves but his summary comment is worrying as those players who played Saturday are largely the ones who’ve managed to get us in this mess with their underperformance and negative tactics.

As Smithie says this season and football in general is all about winning, how that 11 will do it 5 times in 15 games is quite unfathomable at the moment.

How could Aspin and now Askey not see it. Yes he’s had one game as manager but he’s watched us enough.
