One thing I found strange was there was a lack of evidence provided by the claimants for the judges to make a decision on.There was written evidence by Johnson saying the suspension was for Queen’s Speech.

It seems he had the right to suspend parliament, it was a judgement on the motive for doing so...... I think

The veto is for individual countries not the collective..... I was under the impression all 27 had to agree to an extension, if one didn't agree it failed..... signifying an individual choice not a collective decision.

But after discussion the collective wish was for it to go ahead, what grounds would  there be for one country to not agree? Crashing out would be a disaster for everyone except the sponsors of this debacle. There are not many decisions with a veto option left, most decisions are made by weighted majority voting related to population.

But it has been used for political motives previously

But not to prevent parliamentary scrutiny of a national project, in the past it was usually for party advantage  by majority governments. Pretty emphatic decision by the Supreme Court 11-0.

Corbyn says Labour would create publicly-owned drugs company to supply cheap versions of drugs for NHS

Corbyn turns from generalities to a story about an individual.

Yesterday I met Luis Walker, a wonderful nine-year-old boy. Luis is living with cystic fibrosis. Every day he needs at least four hours of treatment and is often in hospital keeping him from school and his friends. Luis’ life could be very different with the aid of a medicine called Orkambi. But Luis is denied the medicine he needs because its manufacturer refuses to sell the drug to the NHS for an affordable price.

Luis, and tens of thousands of others suffering from illnesses such as cystic fibrosis hepatitis C and breast cancer are being denied life-saving medicines by a system that puts profits for shareholders before people’s lives.

Labour will tackle this. We will redesign the system to serve public health - not private wealth - using compulsory licensing to secure generic versions of patented medicines. We’ll tell the drugs companies that if they want public research funding then they’ll have to make their drugs affordable for all. And we will create a new publicly owned generic drugs manufacturer to supply cheaper medicines to our NHS saving our health service money and saving lives. We are the party that created the NHS. Only Labour can be trusted with its future.

Effing brilliant.

ironic, the mp's queing up to talk to the tv cameras, sayin good now we can get back to our constituents  problems, instead of being undemocratically locked out of parliament... just wonder which, the 48% or 52% will get sorted, democratically...

Parliament is sovereign through a representative democracy, it is now having to deal with an ill-planned and ill-managed referendum, having been stopped from doing so. The only solution is to put the decision back to the people in a referendum once some clarity can be given.

Power to the people, let the will of the people decide the Brexit  outcome in a confirmatory referendum when the realities are known.

but will it? or just set the precedent, that if you don't agree with another vote just keep demonstrating and calling for a second vote, or third... as it is now you can say one vote that's it, but go for a another vote and it will open another can of worms...that will never end.

But that is not Fosse's point. The issue that a lot have with the 2016 referendum is that many based their opinions on lies. At best it could be argued that those campaigning were guessing. Now we have had 3 years to examine what the reality would be.

Of course, some will never change their minds no matter what facts are placed before them. But let's at least get some facts in front of people first and give them a chance of making a reasoned decision. And by this I don't just mean convert leavers to remainers.
