A written constitution would be great but I don't see it not getting bent and stretched by interpretation.

I wonder how long it will be before the courts are used again to interfere with parliament?

If you call 'interfering with Parliament' a need to use the rule of law to defeat an injustice committed by Government I hope it'll be a long time - after today I can't see any Government trying to pull off the kind of chicanery that the present one did.

I'm making no distinction between legal or illegal.

They have not interfered with parliament now, but in the actions of a PM/minority government. It is quite likely the MPs will have an emergency debate amending the prorogation procedure this week to stop a similar misuse in the future.

Why a minority? Shouldn't it be applied to all?

A majority government does not usually have problems getting its policies through  and having to resort to such actions. As far as I know only majority governments in the past have ever had more than a few days prorogation.

But the law applies to all equally.

I only expect the veto to be used when the structure is not at risk. United we stand, divided we fall.

The veto is for individual countries not the collective..... I was under the impression all 27 had to agree to an extension, if one didn't agree it failed..... signifying an individual choice not a collective decision.
