This was awful. Players want to do well but their morale is shot to pieces. MOM Tyler Denton. We have to improve on this. Bring in Gibbons Turner Reeves and put Whitfield in a Tony Naylor type role. Out Kay Wilson Barnett De Freitas. We need pace energy willingness to work .Worrall to play as a winger Tonge as anchor with Reeves to do his running. Gibbons and Denton to add energy Pope as target man Whitfield really tight to him and pick up his knock one. Smith and Anderson in the centre attacking the ball. Come on lets play to our strenghts

There is a GK problem lets give Boot a chance. Roos dropped a clanger today and that gave Stevenage a corner which we could not force away and from that play they scored. We need passion Popey has it but he is isolated.

What has pope got again? Please enlighten me

Boote played well in the cup match and was still dropped by Brown.

The two numpties still play Hornby and Roos before Boote who hasn't done anything wrong. At least give him a chance on Tuesday when no league points are at stake and take it from there.

Completely agree. Sadly, the only time we've kept a clean sheet this season was when we played Boot in goal and Smith and Davies at centre halves. The management team has seen fit to play them together since.

Had to wait a while and have a beer to calm down before I posted about that performance. A complete shocker! Not much to add it was a complete disgrace, there was not one positive you could take from the whole 90 mins and we never laid a glove on them.

I thought Smith fought hard and had to make up for the hapless Kay who could and should have cost us more goals. Worrall worked hard and was the best outfield player. The rest I'll be generous and give them 1 to 2 out of 10. Truely dreadful and lacking in heart. It also must have something to do with an anomaly in physics that Roos hands and the ball seem to be magnetically opposed. People have said this is a good bunch of players, I just don't see it. The league doesn't lie, collectively and individually we're just not there.

We're now in a league of three, I cannot see how we can win a game? Vale look nailed on for the drop.

Absolutely spot on. Agree with every bit. We are nailed on for the drop that's a certainty. I never thought I'd see back to back relegations while watching the vale put it that way.

The squad is a disgrace. It would struggle in the conference north.

Possibly the worst of the lot.

Sperm. You hate everyone. Pugh Yates Pope Brown PAGE. But you bum Mr Smurthwaite's butt cheeks. This seems a strange attitude. Is he paying you or something? There are a lot of "Smurf" fans here. Have any of you looked at the league table? Your man is a failure. End of.

Much like the players attitude I couldn't be bothered to post when I got home last night. It's bad enough seeing a defeat but the manner in which they lost was disgraceful. It looked to me like we had players out there who couldn't be bothered, we played like it was a training game. I can't remember us putting a tackle in, we seemed half hearted, no desire, no urgency, no commitment. The whole performance was unforgivable. I can't think of one positive that the team could take from that game.

It was a shadow of what we saw at Yeovil and what we saw in spells on Tuesday. Yeovil looked like a good foundation to get us going, but the differences between that performance and yesterday was that the midfield did not turn up, we missed them out with long balls. We did not allow tonge to get on the ball and we just played into their hands. Also our wing backs werent as effective, we had nothing and I mean nothing on the right hand side and I can't recall many if any crosses coming in from that side. Denton did well to get crosses in but he was largely our only attaching outlet down the flanks.

I can't even say that Stevenage are a good side, but they are everything we are not - organised, committed and played with a game plan.

Of the performances:

Roos pulled off one great one on one save to keep us in it. But other than that did very little that convinces me that he's better than what we already have.

Wilson was awful, did not want to go forward and was negative when he did have the ball. He was hardly involved and dare I say it is a player in hiding.

Anderson did ok but is not helped by Wilson defensively nor as an outlet to distribute the ball to.

Kay won some headers but looked awful on the floor and nearly cost us a few times.

Smith battled well again. But in this side looks a shadow of last season.

Denton tried hard to get us moving down the left attacking wise. Should have brought their lad down on the first goal.

Worrall was trying to do it all on his own when he got the ball, but his link up play with Wilson was non existent on the right. In general he had very few options when he got the ball.

ADF I thought put a shift in and in contrast to the right hand side he and Denton at least have an understanding. He needs to practice his shooting though as he gets in good positions and wastes them.

Tonge was largely anonymous and I blame the defenders for that. They hardly used him and instead preferred to hit it long and miss him out. As a result we saw none of his ability on the ball, he can keep it and bring players into the game, especially the wing backs, but by missing him out we constantly gave the ball away.

Pope nothing came off for him, he tried to put himself about but none of his flicks or headers worked. Try hitting his chest and feet for a change because he can hold a ball up and bring others in to the game.

Barnett was awful he has no touch and for a big man has no physical presence. He's too similar to Pope in style and as a result it limits our options when playing up to the front men. His lack of effort and desire in challenging for a high ball in the second half on the edge of the box just before he went off was simply beyond belief.

The subs didn't really have much chance to make an impact. We should have changed things much earlier because it wasn't working in the first half. In fact at what point do players and managers realise the long ball isn't coming off? Why can't they adapt and do something different. We are predictable and I said after Tuesdays game we aren't too good to go down. The players need to start playing.... and soon!

We are a mess, the players looked like they were just going through the motions. Boote, Hornby, Davis, Gibbons and Gunning must be wondering what they've got to do to get a game because some of the performance of those picked to start were dreadful again. The minimum we should expect is effort and commitment and I don't think we got that yesterday and the players have to shoulder a lot of that blame. For me at least those players I mentioned who aren't playing could inject some passion into the side. It felt like that was one of the worst performances I have ever witnessed from us.
