Second bidder ( Kevin Jones Consortium)

It's good that there are two bids, both from people passionate about the club.

I would like to know who the other two business men are involved in this latest bid.

I also think that saying Nobby is wanted may be jumping the gun a bit. My guess is that it would be a hard task to bring him away from a well paid job at a club on the verge of the championship where he is working with Phil Brown (his work partner for a while now).

The Smurf lovers on here have an obvious dislike for the Synectics bid ... and I fear that the Norman has the same attitude which puts them at a disadvantage. I fear his spiteful nature may fear it's ugly head and they could be the perfect people and he would still say no.

It's interesting times, let's hope Norman isn't an idiot and refuse to even discuss because he thinks the ground is worth £6m or something daft like that.

How much would you value vale at?

inc ground and debt

Good question. I actually discussed this with my boss who used to own a professional club and we couldn't decide. I think I suggested something like £2million plus 100k per annum ground rent on another thread. I haven't given it too much thought as I'm not buying it.

It's around 25% of the owners asking price.

This is where we see the real measure of what type of man Norman is. His valuation is crazy, it's based on his debts. Businesses are not valued on debts.

If he stands back and refuses to enter proper negotiations around a sensible valuation, then he is purposefully damaging the club.

people who like him state that he is worth £75m... so holding our club to ransom over the loans he put in due to his poor poor poor running of the club makes him less than a man in my eyes.

He will sell to which ever is eventually the highest bid.

Autonet are another well run local business who are owned by Vale fans, I would be interested to hear if they were involved.
