Form that lot I'd be looking to offer contracts to Streete, Foley and possibly Bikey and of the players still under contract, I'd be looking to pay at least 5-6 of them off.

 

Huge rebuilding job for next season and that's just on the pitch and with the wrong manager should it be Brown, IMHO.

I like Foley a lot, but he doesn't get many assists/goals so I wouldn't break the bank for him. And I doubt he will stay anyway, a L1 club will be in for him I'm sure.

Wouldn't be enough to keep them. For us to keep them we needed to stay up and even then I think streete will have moved on.

They're obviously too good for League Two and, whilst it'd be great to be able to keep the best of the squad here, their wages would be better spent on other things. I stated in another thread that I'd like to see a decent proportion of any transfer windfall put towards getting more young kids through the door.

Foley has a good engine, I agree with vpl above he could score a few more in an ideal world but I suppose if he did he'd be playing for a slightly bigger club. I'd like to keep him as I think potentially he'd be one of the best in League Two but I'd imagine if club even like Walsall or Shrewsbury came in he'd probably be off and tbh I couldn't blame him.

Are we sure Hooper is out of contract I could have sworn it was 2.5 years when we signed him originally? Unless the last year is one of these triggered optional things?

I think our better players will be off if the chance comes along to play in a higher division than league 2 and especially if they have to take a pay cut for being relegated.

 

Plus our higher paid players like Streete for example may need to be offloaded to get the wage bill down or to fund other players we may need to sell someone like Smith.

 

One things for sure its a going to a btough preseason of rebuilding again.

I don't think we've offered Streete another contract so he can walk away for nowt.

 

Realistically, there will be a handful of league one clubs sniffing at our players now and I would not be at all surprised to see the likes of Foley and Streete go, possibly Smith (if we get an offer for him) and if I was managing the likes of Shrewsbury & Oldham etc. maybe Eagles and Bikey too.

Streete is under 23 so if we offer him a new contract on the same or more money we get a fee if he moves if I am correct.
