Another poor Smurf decision

Iron Curtain

Recommended Posts

And outside of loaning the vale the money for lee... every other decision he has made has been shocking.

I keep repeating this... I respect him for having a go but he doesn't know what he is doing.

Your flagship 'moment' where Smurthwaite did good was him handing over a cheque to a bloke he later claimed was reckless with money.

He isn't the right man to make the Vale better. That's always been my point.

Your just argumentive for been argumentive jean, Lee Hughes played a massive part in securing promotion FACT

Lee Hughes did very well for us but he was not the reason we got promoted. A number of other players made very significant contributions - notably Tom Pope so to claim that Hughes was the key reason we went up is, in my opinion, incorrect.

Wildes was behind the signings 100% Norman's money paid for the signings 100%

Norman's money also paid for the 13 Bruno signings, so what ? It isn't about paying for it, it's about who you sign. Two effective signings or 13.... I'm not going to finish that as some are still Vale players.

I think Norman has now appointed a CEO, I think he will say regardless of what division vale are in, there is the budget and let the the CEO and who ever is the manager get on with it next season. I just hope the CEO spends it better than Norman has wasted it this season
But will the budget be adequate?

I'm going to bed now... so I will ask you one question.

Do you think Norman has the skills and know how to improve the Vale?

I think Norman appointing a CEO and taking a back seat is a move in the right direction, the transfer window failed vale massively but I am led to believe Norman was prepared to spend money, maybe Michal Brown inability of attracting players or maybe Norman tight wages could both be a part! Moving forward I think Norman will get it right

I have no information at my finger tips, i am sure a retired teacher who trawls through company's accounts would have though

No information at your fingertips. So all your opinions are based on what? And how do you know about Norman's £75 million?

That, like a bloke taking his sixth wife, is the triumph of hope over experience.

Bringing Tom Pope into it now, we all

know Tom Pope scored 33 goals and without his goals would have been nowhere near the top 7, Lee Hughes galvanised the squad when he arrived, Micky Adams never wanted him either

I disagree.

Also, if it was Browny's inability to bring people in then Norman giving him a 3 year contract and offereing him the caretaker managers job is yet another master stroke from our genius owner!
