If HIGNFY or Private Eye did something similar or worse, nobody would bat an eyelid.

Get a life and a sense of humour.

That would be fair comment if the Mail didn't take itself so seriously and get on its high horse like a prudish virgin, when in reality it is a slutty pox-ridden whore of a paper, just as deep in the gutter (and not looking up at the stars either).

Theresa May being sodomised in the Guardian = Satire.

Theresa May having nice legs in the Mail = Sexist.

All Clear!!

Put perfectly by Martin Daubney.

Well you'd only find it 'put perfectly' if you were so dim witted that you didn't understand the difference between a satirical cartoon and a front page headline.

Students at the Queen Mary University of London, have voted to ban the Sun,Daily Mail and Express from its campus.

That's probably because they have been brainwashed into this Neo Liberalsim that removes peoples freedom of speech. They only accept views that are exactly the same as theirs and what they believe is ok. What about students who are more to the right. Not everybody is a green party Corbyn lover.

BTW I am not supporting any newspapers they are all full of biasty over exagerated rubbish even the local newspapers, they all pump for sensationalism and don't care what damage they cause.

Democracy has spoken! The students voted and decided to leave (those rags off the list of papers that their union shop sells). Let's get on with it. These Mailingerers just can't accept that there has been a vote and the people have opted out of selling those papers. Get over it!

I don'r care what they sell on their campus students don't buy papers anyway.

So some satirical cartoons are not offensive but a front page headline is.

Would you like more time to think about that statement and then perhaps apologise?

I'm tending to think one or two posters who say there is no diference between The Mail and The Guardian and both are like toilet paper are right.

The only thing is, the Guardian is like an unused piece.

Why would I apologise to you? I don't think you understand, do you? Then again, when you just regurgitate other people's opinions (not to mention cutting and pasting vast swathes from wikipedia and the like), you're bound to come unstuck.

If you can't see the difference between what Steve Bell has done in his Guardian cartoon and that sexist tripe on the front page of the Mail then I'm not sure you should be posting on here. You're just making a fool of yourself. Again.

As far as I can ascertain the student body didn't vote to ban the newspapers...it was the student council that took the decision (happy to be corrected on that). Therefore, this is more akin to some committee in a local govt/council deciding to ban certain books from local libraries because they don't agree with their content.

However, if that's the mechanism that the student body has agreed to when it comes to matters such as this then they should accept it for now whilst looking to reform the mechanism if they are unhappy with it If the mechanism changes in the future they may wish to revisit this matter.
