Port vale are making me so sad!

I suppose that comment is pointed at me. Well tell me where I urged fans to take that stance? All I said was that I wasn't feeling like buying a ticket for next season at the minute. No protest no demonstrations it's just how I am feeling. If other are prepared to carry on I have no problems with that and I can't remember calling any one a 'happy clapper'.

The thing is Howjy my thoughts have been mirrored by over a 1,000 other departing fans over the last two years and that could well be doubled if we go down with little hope of a return to L1 anytime soon.

You worry too much Owd.The comment was aimed at the lost cause who suggested that people would get an ST with a free lobotomy.Good job the likes of some folk(me and thay) still go despite how they may feel.

The people complaining the loudest are those have been going for 40,50,60 years. Surely even the clappers will have to accept something has to be done rather than just rejoice in the fact that you will have a ST even if comes with a free lobotomy.

Excuse me but I actually wrote the opening post on this thread and once again I will stand by my statement because since we returned to this division our average gates have shrunk by this number.

You're confusing average attendances(which includes away fans) with home fan attendances.

Ask your mate ST for more details,we've already discussed this subject at length.

I don't think that anyone actually said SEO. Personally I have no appetite for that again. I won't be buying a season ticket next season not as a way of getting rid of Smurf as what I do will make bugger all difference to him but simply I'm fed up with the way he uses the income and wastes it then moans to high heaven. I'll attend when I want to and still get behind the team. In that respect I will always be a vale supporter but never a Smurf fan.

Anyway I'll be there on Saturday along with OS cheering on the team and hoping that the great fight back begins there.

Whatever your individual thoughts on the mess we're in, whose fault it is and how we go forward. The consequences of relegation this season for us would be massive, possibly such a defining moment that we may well struggle to ever overcome.

At the end of the season you want to say you've done your bit. Get to the games and attempt to help keep us up

This is what I've decided to do. Was holding off on spending any more money on away games as the form was so poor & it was just like setting fire to money. However, given our current position, I've decided I'm going to every single game now. Even doing longer hours on the other weekdays so I can have Tuesdays off!

Smurf needs to stay out of transfers and leave it to the manager. We keep hearing about players about to arrive then he changes the offer. I never understand how he is successful in business as he keeps slating the product and then talks about selling, who the hell wants to buy it then (unless thats his plan).

I attend no matter what happens, I also never boo as the worse thing you can do to a team with no confidence is boo them. They need us behind them we have had some money's worth of players and Smurf seems to have pocketed the money. He should have used the money he got to get a real decent striker. We can not score, its as simple as that, buying random players does not work. Pay for a proven goalscorer. There must be someone out there thats decent that does not have a contract. Get them signed up and match fit

By the time they are fit the season would be over. If players did not want to come to the Vale that was it. Maybe better luck in the Summer, not much help now though.

All I hear on here is proven goalscorer there is no such thing .a good forward is only as good as the midfield players giving them the ball in the right area its team work
