Of course in line with the budget set, Christ does anyone think we should go back to the bad old crazy days of Wildes mass unmonitored overspending?

I actually spoke to Colin earlier this week over an unrelated matter and he confirmed he is enjoying his new responsibilities.

Thanks for confirming your naivity.

You seem to assume that Smurf sets a budget and sticks to it. If you want to talk about overspending, lets talk about the 80k per month loss run up by Smurf. Difference between him and Wildes, Wildes then knew how to build enthusiasm and get people through the turnstiles, the complete opposite of Smurf.

Just out of interest why do you keep bringing seo up? were you anti that stance?

Each to his own Karl but I've explained. The reason it was brought up was because the likes of certain posters think that's the way forward again.I don't.

I dont think thats the way forward either tbh,i wont be getting involved in protests etc again. Through personnel circumstances i might struggle to get a season ticket next season but that wont be to seo, that was then this is now, being in League 2 and struggling to see any hope i will find it hard to justify even more when money is tight.

However after once thinking Norman could do no wrong i am starting to see a darker side and imo for the sake of the club i would like to see him sell, who to i am not sure but we have to hear all parties plans including Normans before we make decisions.

One last thing though, every fan must surely notice that attendances and season ticket sales have dwindled under his tenure and people have to understand that there must be a reason for this and not just berate other fans by saying they aren't supporters if they dont go,just the same as those who are still going also shouldn't be berated either.

I do think if backed in the summer(hopefully in League 1) then Brown could do a decent job with the players he wants if allowed to bring them in,i think he has got together a decent looking backroom team Morgan for the defence...Brown for the midfield...Kelly for the forwards and Kirkland for the keepers,we just need that win and i am sure a couple more will follow

Your may be right about the backroom staff, but im worried we cant attract decent players while Smurfs in charge after what he did last summer with the players contracts.

When the likes of me stop attending as you so politely put it. Then believe me you won't have a team to watch very shortly.

By the way I do attend the games I seldom listen to away games on RS anymore because I don't have digital.

That said you must have your head very deeply in the sand if you haven't noticed that our attendance have dropped every game by 1500-2000. Most have just walked away without a word but they will only return if the club and it's owner changes his tack.

You say that I won't be missed? Ask the owner if he is missing the lost fanbase? When you bear in mind it this is a loss of conservatively £20,000-25,000 a game. The only way to succeed as a club is by putting some quality on the pitch it really isn't rocket science.

That's simply not true that our attendance's have dropped by 1500-2000.You obviously haven't been following the recent debate.

I suppose that comment is pointed at me. Well tell me where I urged fans to take that stance? All I said was that I wasn't feeling like buying a ticket for next season at the minute. No protest no demonstrations it's just how I am feeling. If other are prepared to carry on I have no problems with that and I can't remember calling any one a 'happy clapper'.

The thing is Howjy my thoughts have been mirrored by over a 1,000 other departing fans over the last two years and that could well be doubled if we go down with little hope of a return to L1 anytime soon.

Excuse me but I actually wrote the opening post on this thread and once again I will stand by my statement because since we returned to this division our average gates have shrunk by this number.

Whatever your individual thoughts on the mess we're in, whose fault it is and how we go forward. The consequences of relegation this season for us would be massive, possibly such a defining moment that we may well struggle to ever overcome.

At the end of the season you want to say you've done your bit. Get to the games and attempt to help keep us up
