Not sure whether he has been rushed back too early but in 4 months with us he has suffered 4 injuries. He was injured in pre season, at Bury, Coventry and now tonight. Have we got another Lee Matthews on our hands? He was out for a long time while at Blackburn, still wondering why a 2 year contract was given on the back of that 1 game against Newcastle Town.

Our physio and medical staff need to be sacked' date=' he's been handled appallingly.[/quote'] You can't repair a crock. If I was in charge I would only sign players with a good solid record injury wise. It costs as much to pay a player to limp as it does for them to turn out and play!

A squad of 20-22 player with a record of being reasonably injury free is the way to go. I believe that with some of these walking wounded the problem is more of a mind set problem than a physical one. Give me an Aspin or Ernie Moss any day they would turn out and go willingly through the pain barrier.

Looking at it from another angle than just blaming physios. He played in the reserves 2 weeks ago, obviosuly he'd been training in the weeks in the run up to that reserve game, hes been training regularly since then, then got 15 mins at Charlton. So ultimately if he comes through all that with no problems then theres no reason for the physios to doubts hes not fit to play.

Gutted for the lad , must be frustrating with these constant injuries keeping him out of the game.

perhaps Bruno was to eager to rush him to add goals to the side.

You're talking about a forward that scores a goal every 6 games or more on average, so I doubt it.

Yes, he's better than Patersen. But we're talking about a striker that's possibly the worse we've had since Jamie Guy.
