A 2nd referendum

Russia Today is the mouthpiece of Putin, it tells you what he wants you to hear. I don't waste my time going anywhere near that station.

It makes the Daily Mail look impartial and the Sun look like Jeremy Corbyn's official spokes-paper.

You don't seem to like the idea of anyone watching it and making up their own mind. That isn't asking so much.

I don't suppose anyone is very interested in how you 'waste your time'. Writing a book on being open-minded perhaps ?

Anyone who believes Putin is in control of the content of RT might like to read this report from the horrible subversive commie rag THE DAILY TELEGRAPH, which tells how an RT reporter openly disagreed with Russian policy in Ukraine..... if Putin controlled it, do you think that would have happened, live, on RT ?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/ukraine/10676292/Russia-Today-reporter-takes-a-stand-over-Kremlins-military-intervention.html

It wasn't cut off, stopped, no plugs were pulled and the full report by WASHINGTON Based Abby Martin (an American) was allowed.

There is some amazing hate propaganda posted on here by people who don't want to allow the rest of us to have the freedom to make up our own minds.

I'd also point out that if she had tried to put the Russian viewpoint in modern-day UK and US supported fascist Ukraine, she would not have been allowed to and her life would have been in serious danger, as the right wing militias there have murdered a number of journalists they don't like.

So I'm not allowed to have an opinion about something because it doesn't fit your narrative? Fair enough, that does seem to be the MO of the far left, shout people down who have the nerve to politely disagree with them.

That article proves my point about Russia Today. Firstly clearly stating it was Kremlin funded and secondly the blatent attempt at re-education of the journalist in question by sending her to Crimea which she refused to do and later resigned. Sending her to Crimea doesn't change the fact it is an illegal occupation of Ukranian territory and has been rightly condemned by the rest of the world.

As for Ukraine being fascist, bit offensive towards an entire country don't you think? Most Ukrainians have the ability to think for themselves, something you seem to think you are being denied. Yes they have an extreme element, but so does every country. Like Russia, who stifle gay rights, who jail innocent campaigners, who restrict the free press. Pussy Riot, Alexander Litvinenko (sp?), the list goes on. But you won't hear about any of that on RT, because they don't want you to. Nor the doping scandal engulfing Russian sport.

But if you want to stifle debate by calling opposite viewpoints hate propaganda then you need to take a look at what real hate propaganda is. Hate propoganda is what comes out of Hamas's mouths when they say they want to wipe Israel off the map, what comes out of Donald Trump's mouth when he talks about banning Muslims and building walls, what comes out of the mouths of those ****** who run Britain First.

There's very little, if any, hate propoganda on OVF.

I've only ever read one or two lefties on here at times condemning an entire nation of people..that probably was hate propaganda.

Anyways..what's posted on OVF has little or no influence beyond those that read it on OVF..it's not as if what's posted here would influence the result of an election or referendum but the way some go on you'd think (for example) posting some support for UKIP on here was the reason the UK voted for Brexit. Plus of course people are entirely free to post their support for UKIP (or any other political party) on here if they wish to do so.

Seems one of their presenters resigned on air some time back

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/russia/10679673/Russia-Today-anchor-resigns-live-on-air.html

"Liz Wahl said during a broadcast on Wednesday that she could no longer work for a Moscow-funded network which she accused of "whitewashing" the actions of Russian leader Vladimir Putin."

I wonder what they had in place to stop transmission of a live resignation..if anything

In interesting conundrum... she had the freedom to resign on air in protest against the network's "whitewashing"

Another referendum?, we aint got the first one sorted yet what with Hammond a remainite and May obfuscating, not what the brexiteers wanted or voted for.

There's no real rush, everbody's gone on holiday and the 'Gravy Train' won't be too bothered, after all their lifestyle depends on it.£350m a week is not easy to come by you know.I reckon they'll have to join up about three extra countries to replace us?

It will be like the Eurovision Song Contest..is there any reason why Australia, China and Singapore cannot join the EU?

I was semi-serious though. As long as they sign up to the treaties in theory can any country join the EU regardless of geography? If so then we might find the Clangers wanting to join up. Blue string soup can be one of those protected food thingies like Cornish Pasties.

P.S.

Does anyone want to know why they are called Clangers?
