I personally don't think all is at a standstill behind the scene ,I'm sure brown is putting things in place for the arrival of our new messiah.we have been informed that Brownie will have input into new manager choice, keep the faith,we may be pleasantly surprised

It's a rumour - by very definition it won't have evidence. It's just one of those things. You can take it or leave it. Some rumours have a grain of truth, some don't. If all rumours were from accurate, accreditable sources, well, they wouldn't be rumours...

 

I'd personally take it all with a pinch of salt. Rumours are part and parcel of the off-season and I don't think they do any harm, create a bit of excitement/entertainment just so long as no-one takes every one seriously.

I don't think the facts have ever stopped the rumour mill in the past but I take your point and I agree with it.

It will be interesting to find out once the new manager is appointed as to whether new signings were being actively pursued by those still at the club, with the new manager's say so. We surely won't wait until the end of June to start looking at players and looking at signings? Or doesn't it matter if all the players are on holiday and their agents are at the Euros?

Reid would be an excellent signing IMO. Always been impressed when I've seen him play against us.

 

Of course clubs with no manager are still looking to recruit players. Players are just members of staff. It's no different than having players under contract. The new manager won't have signed them but has to work with them. Why is signing players in the interim any different?
