Former Port Vale midfielder Ryan Burge’s allegations about former Vale manager Micky Adams have continued with fresh claims published today. In November, Burge tweeted that the Vale*manager Micky Adams breached “an agreement”, sent an abusive text and that people are “deluded” to think that he would not turn up for the Bristol Rovers game. Now,(...)

It is most disturbing that Ryan Burge has found it necessary to go public with this. I feel the PFA should have been able to settle this privately and that the LMA should have played a part in seeking a settlement. I feel the club needs to step in and arbitrate before its reputation is further damaged. I can understand that players will be reluctant to join the Vale in the circumstances.0

Why should it affect anyone's opinion of Vale at all - the alleged wrongdoing of a former manager who has no connection with Vale now is hardly a matter to hold against the club.

Old news- from a insignificant whinging failure who many people would be reluctant to believe about anything. Have read it, and am about to forget it and I hope MA does the same and Burge concentrates on playing football and if he is any good, will get his own back by showing it at another club.

,he has'nt been able to do a great deal.

I see the point, but when clubs will take on players with massive 'baggage' (Lee Hughes, Jamie Guy, many others with convictions not just gossip against them etc) - then I cant help thinking if he were even above average ability in any way someone would give him a chance regardless of what MA did or didn't say about him.

It would be to nobodys` surprise that Micky Adams wasn`t going to give Burge a glowing reference, which sort of makes this irrelevant. He wasn`t a great success at Newport and that will have affected his career more than any reference from a manager that all the football world knows he fell out with. He needs to get out there and prove himself somewhere if he wants a good career in the game not sit back and moan.

An absolute nothing story. Banal boring substanceless phone call on youtube and vacuous interview on a channel I've never heard of. The lad's making himself look pathetic, shame I really think he's got some ability if he'd take a bit of personal responsibility for his own future.
