We've had Nature Watch and Skygazing Live so what about SmurfWatch?

 

Give the guy credit, he said that he would go quiet after Exetergate and he's done just that.

 

However it would perhaps be nice to hear what's happening on the Club sale.

Personally I don't believe he really wants to sell but that's only a hunch.

His biggest mistake was trying to be to close to the fans,he really got the bug for the vale,but felt sometimes his enthusiasm and silly confrontation with some on social media is downfall.his p.r. Skill Mmm he said it how it was and shot from the hip leaving himself open to abuse by a few key board warriors.l personally think he was the right man for the job.theres not many out there willing to take this club forward.we are a 1st division club dreaming of purple patches,like most clubs,think we may regret losing mr smurffs enthusisam,only time will tell

REP for once I agree. Smurf will be reluctant to sell.Huge ego and won't want to lose out financially.Future will be cutting budgets and eventually relegation.

And some clubs like Sheff U who have massive budgets are doing far worse at Home than Vale.

Best home record for years so Page has got to be doing something right.

I think it's verrrrry easy to point at other clubs and say things like "Burton have a far lower average attendance/budget, how are they doing better than us". Every other club in the league has their own unique circumstances, and chances are a lot of fans (if not all) producing statements like this have no clue about how they are run, and what the factors causing them to be more or less succesful than us are. We can speculate, and maybe some of our fans are business owners etc & have a rough idea, but most likely we are going to be nowhere near the mark.

 

I am including myself in this, I have no idea whatsoever, & fair enough, we can comment on our accounts etc when they are published & question Norman, but comparing other clubs to ourself is pointless if we don't fully understand how they are run, & what they are doing differently.

 

Regardless of all that though, I reckon sometimes you can be doing a lot of things right & perhaps the income/attendances might just not be there, as you have factors such as the area the club is in (See the club down the road possibly taking younger fans away from us due to appeal). So comparisons are a waste of time.

That's a bit of a silly assumption,could be tempting fate,could leave the the club to find its own level,with now financial from him.he did try to put the club on a sound financial footing,but to many football pundits with the quick fix solutions,new more experience manager, a proven goal scorer,some need a reality check,2 administration in last10year,,getting deeper and deeper in dept years before that!l really don't know what some want or the solution.but would hope we could have some sensible post on this thread and try and rebuild Mr Smurf enthusisam for our club

Im pleased he has stuck to his word this time, we will know when the club is sold, until then Im not bothered how many inquiries have been made or from whom.... now if we can just get page to keep shtum until he has something to actually tell us things will be a lot better... on the surface.
