Sun 17th Jan 2016, Millwall v Port Vale, pre-match comments, the match itself

Surely a better chance of a win at the Den now that the Swindon game has been postponed again, and also that Millwall will be playing on Thursday. I would prefer that Brown plays with his greater experience besides it being Page`s policy to keep a winning team.

They struggle at home so we should certainly be looking to get something here. Although to be fair they are probably the strongest side I've seen this season. I think grant needs to play here but who he would come in for I don't know. I expect the same 11 or grant in for brown. I'll take a draw now.

A month ago I would have said the same about Grant but after Brown's performances these last 2 games I don't feel he can be dropped and a game like this, we need him involved. I also feel that O'Connor has been more effective with Brown alongside him as opposed to Grant.

For me Millwall were easily the best team I have seen at Vale this season and any kind of positive result here would for me be the best result of the season so far.

Just looked on the Vale website, could someone confirm it really is £26, is it no cheaper buying in advance, a very expensive week with Blackpool last weekend as well.

I,ve got my ticket, it's £23 not £26. Duff info again on the official site.

Best side that's turned up to play us this season... but over the season they've been very poor at home. Would be nice to go and do a job on them in their backyard like they did to us but with the Sunday hoodoo I see a draw as the best hope for us!

Be nice to pass the 40 point mark this month though as safety creeps closer and we can then look at reviewing our season goals.

Tough game, could play Brown and Grant?

Alnwick

Purkiss--- Duffy-- McGivern-- Dicko

--------------Brown Grant---------------

Moore ------------------ Foley

----------- O'Connor------------

AJ

That gives Millwall too much respect for me who are poor at home overall. O'Connor is not an attacking midfielder and Foley doesn't offer enough going forward on the left. Stick with what started at Blackpool.
