Didn't get to the ground until around about half past and was in the main entrance buying a ticket when one of their coaches came walking down the stairs saying that they were lucky to have had the penalty as it never was.

Also with regards to the red card their player was down on the deck with their management team screaming at him to get up as they wanted him on the pitch to defend the free kick, surprisingly jumped up as if he'd not been touched.

Went in The Baum after the game and had a chat with their chairman Chris Dunphy and, I think, one of their directors, Peter........., both seemed very decent blokes and were obviously very pleased with the result. Interesting to hear what they said about their budget and how the club is run. They were very surprised at how much we pay our players in comparison to theirs but also said the Keith Hill was a fantastic manager and that we couldn't afford him.

Teachers retired or otherwise (just like refs)' date=' never admit when they are wrong! ;)[/quote']

The referee either got this totally wrong or he's a biased cheat.

Just Watched the highlights, the ball changed direction almost 180 degrees and the ref was at least 20 meters from the challenge.

He also had several players between him and the incident.

The linesman flag never moved and he was much nearer with a clearer view.

Just watched the highlights on valiant player. Watched their penalty a few times over and think it IS a penalty. Dicko definitely gets a toe on the ball but not enough IMO

Can you show me where, in the laws of the game, it states how much of the ball must be played in a tackle for it to not be a foul?

He's a young referee, just 30 years old. Rochdale did a professional job on him.

Here's his statistics as a referee. A record of 14-1-1. So no idea why people think he was a "homer"

Also, I see he crossed Mad Dog Allen earlier this season:

The ref hasn't done a good job from the first minute. There was a tackle on our full-back, two-footed, that took him out and it wasn't even a yellow card, it was possibly a red. But here you have 16,000 people and you have to be a strong referee to cope and deal with this, you have to be fair. Little Barnet coming here, you've got to have a proper referee who can deal with this. It's intimidating and imposing and you have to have a man in the middle who can make his own decisions, that don't just fit this stadium and the crowd.

Just seen that foul on Uche on the Valiant Player headlights. It's even worse than I thought because the keeper actually jumps at him Harald Schumacher style and the liner had a completely unobstructed view of it. How nothing was given for that is a complete mystery. The two major decisions in that game were completely wrong - and if REP disagrees it can only prove my theory that all referees are either mad or blind!

Not seen it Jean but would the keeper of got a red card if the pen had been given?
