You can put recall clauses on loans can't you? Unless something bad happens the day of a match and/or a player gets injured while on loan, you have the benefit of your fringe players getting some regular football (unless you're Achille Campion and break your nose two minutes after joining your loan club, poor fellow)

what's up with campion is he a wimp don't player's with facial injuries get fitted with masks so they carry on playing but then again if he gets an injury he seems to be out for weeks at a time doe's he want to play or just pick up a pay packet.

A decision will also be made later this week on whether another loanee, Port Vale striker Achille Campion, will be able to play with a broken nose.

The Frenchman sustained the injury just after half-time against Lincoln, and Nicholson said: "It was a nasty break, so we're getting Achille checked out by a specialist before thinking about whether he might play at Braintree."

...took me a while to check it out... took this from the FL Rules...

53.2.2 Subject to the proviso that the duration of a Standard Loan must be the time between two Transfer Windows, Standard Loans can be for half a Season or a full Season. Any recall clause requiring the early termination of a Standard Loan can only be included in a full Season Standard Loan and this can only be activated during the second (January) Transfer Window. Any other early termination of a Standard Loan must be by way of a mutual agreement in writing (including by way of a recall clause within the Standard Loan Agreement) between both Clubs and the Player but can only be completed after the expiry of 28 days and only during a Transfer Window (but subject to Regulation 53.2.3 below).

I read this as the no recall during the first 28 days.

I can't remember where some of the development squad/ 1st year pros are. Is Houghton (sp?) still out?

Bergin (CB) at Kidsgrove

Reeves (CM) at Witton

The other 3 first years, Steele (CM), Houghton (LM) and Kapend (ST), have all been out on loan but are all back at Vale currently.
