He did assist well but the Barnsley goal is an error' date=' not sure why people including Page are defending it, head it out, head it behind or head it to the keeper just don't head it across your own box, basic defending![/quote']

If Yates had headed the ball 10 degrees straighter it would have missed McGivern and been cleared. In that sense it was an error but to suggest it was the sort of calamitous error which some on here have is harsh in the extreme. It actually looks far worse than it was because it hits a player and falls straight to their bloke.

He's heading it back into the danger zone, he got his angles completely wrong. Wouldn't suggest if others have he's a calamity but it was clearly an error, that said most goals come from poor defending.

I'll text him and tell him to take a protractor to Maidenhead!!

It's not bad luck to concede late goals or miss penalties.

It can be - if the referee adds on too much time, or if an uneven pitch causes the ball to go an inch higher and hit the crossbar on a penalty. The dividing lines are marginal on many things, often a bad reffing decision will have a massive effect. For instance, Uche being sent off undeservedly seems to have ruined his game, as he has not been the same player since that happened.

All these so called " Ashley Coles" know it all make me cringe. Give it a rest for gods sake and leave Yates alone. Anybody reading some of the vile comments towards Adam would think he played for them lot down the A500 instead of Vale.

TBH he was disinterested before he got sent off! I feel Uche loves to be the centre of attention, and if he isn't he slips into this lethargic couldn't give a **** lump up front!

As Smurf said, he needs an ego boost from the crowd. But in some respects it is self generating.

Really unprofessional defending for their goal. Not good enough and if it had been their winner then Page would have had one foot out of the door.

For me Uche has not been the same player since about mid September, not just the sending off and would not be too fussed if he went back in January.
