If it was upto me I would be trying to get the Rochdale manager. He has worked miracles there on a shoestring budget.

Behave! We have a manager who from what I've seen is getting us playing a style that is much better than last season. Early days yet to start silly talk of changing managers!

We've been scouted out and are a bit too predictable. We need to freshen up the personnel and also the formation.

Totally agree with the comment about today being like one of Page's games last season. No tempo, urgency, attacking threat. Very flat, apart from a 10 minute spell just after HT.

Typical Vale really. Just when we start to believe they slap us all in the face and turn in inept performances. Let's be honest. Page is an inexperienced rookie manager who is defense minded, perhaps because he was a defender himself, but worryingly can't set his team up to stop conceding from set-pieces game after game after game. Our subs bench is feeble in regards to personal that could actually be sent on to score a goal and change a game.

The retained list was a mistake with the exception of Dodds. The subs bench is non existent and i don't think Campion is the answer and maybe grasping at straws re Hooper. The weakness of Page tactically is he's too negative. He showed that at home at the end of last season and he's gone back into his shell away from home this season. I've enjoyed the football at home (except Millwall) but he needs to translate that approach away from Vale Park.

Moore seemed frightened to get forward, Purkiss seemed to cross from the byline more than Be ron, Uche was greedy, the ref was awful. Lay off Lloyd (as in 'stop having a go at him', not 'give him his cards'); I'd be tempted to start with him. They all seemed knackered today. Duffy MOM.

Start with Lloyd? Christ no thanks, Duffy wasn't motm either. Foley by a mile

I agree - yet another soft goal from a corner. You could tell Millwall had done their homework, they played the same cross/corner to pretty much the same blade of grass over and over again in the first half and we didn't seem to know how to do a thing about it.

I aint been but who at corners is lacking bottle this is 3 games in a row we have gave goals away .

0-0 is what page plays for ,he has no tactical nous whatsoever .

F--king Millwall bring 200 Vale and win Vale take 1100 and someone whos gone says they aint turned up .

A long season.looks like page has been found out ,2 defeats in a row says it all really ,we aint a good side flash in the pan .

Im glad i didnt go

Embarassing

One thing that puzzles me is why we don't have an orthodox striker like JJ or Campion on the bench. It's not as if we're looking for them to be a permanent fixture in the first eleven, not at least at this stage, but when you have no cutting edge on the pitch and have to rely on the likes of Lloyd and Daniel, I don't see what you have to lose. To my mind, a proper striker stands a much better chance of pulling something back.

I'd like to hear Page's explanation for not including them as subs. No doubt he'll say they're not ready but we stand more of a chance of a goal from a genuine striker than we do from the likes of our recent subs. It did fleetingly cross my mind whether Page isn't playing them because they're not his signings but I guess this is just a bit too cynical. It does make you wonder though.

I might have said Foley if his set pieces weren't so woeful. As for Lloyd, I think he deserves a chance other than 10 minute cameos. Might give others a bit of a rocket too.

Fair enough, agree about foley. He was excellent but did some very poor set plays. Lloyd just isn't good enough that's my worry I fully agree with swapping it around to wake a few of them up but Lloyd isn't the answer.
