The likes of Foyle who did it on a consistent basis deserves Legendary Status, not Pope who had 1 good Season. If it hadn't of been for the fact he was a Vale fan, he wouldn't of got a second look.

1 good season? 15 goals is a good season. 33 goals, leading scorer in the entire country, being the main reason why your team achieved their first promotion on 19 years is an outstanding season! And yes, the fact he is a local lad and die hard Vale fan also contributes to his legendary status.

Nonsense. Shot us to promotion, 15 goals the season after, played through injury the season after that and still got 12 goals. A local lad, Vale through and through who only wants the best for HIS club. Pope is one of us, a Vale fan, and will be long after he's a Bury player, and as much as I don't want him to score against us, he'll gets round of applause from me before and after.

Maybe not. But I know for a fact at this level, you can get under the skin of some players sometimes if they lose their head ever so slightly, and if we can antagonise and wind him up why not, anything to affect his performance. Just hoping it will be in a negative way, but I'm willing to take that chance (don't kill me if he scores a hat trick!)

Why would you want any player to score a hat trick against vale?

 

Mark Goodlad was my favourite player, but say he had joined someone else who we then later played; I certainly wouldnt want him to play an absolute stormer in nets.

 

I hope Pope has a decent game, gives it his all but in the end scores 0 and provides 0 assists, and that we win the match.
