Best Defence

We have played over 12 1/2 hours of football and conceded 4 goals! That's over half a day, longer than I've been awake today; what an absolutely fantastic record. Even with Inniss and Alnwick's mistakes, every member of the defence should hold their heads high, as should the management team. Grant has played a big part too.

Not the first hospital back pass he has done. Not including the one to Alnwick that he picked up.
Last season he made a few bad ones but this season he's been much better so far. Alnwick had plenty of time to clear it against Gillingham but whether he couldn't see who it came from or whatever reason he picked it up. Other than that he's been really good too-hope his contract is extended. But back to my point you can't really blame Duffy for Alnwick picking it up.

Duffy is playing brilliant and cannot be dropped. Innis is a rock despite the goal at Bradford and streete looks so comfortable and never breaks sweat, he just makes it look so easy defending.

I'm sure page is loving it having the choice to choose two out of the three every week and long may it continue to have great competition at centre half..

Remie could play in midfield if he wanted to.

I've never rated Duffy until this season but overall this year it's a toss up between him and Grant for our best player, well may be Purkiss has a shout as well. On current form this is the best defence I've seen at Vale Park.

I think Inniss and Duffy complement each other better than Streete and Duffy. I also can't see Streete and Inniss playing together in front of Alnwick, due to the inexperience of the 3 of them. Maybe when Neal is fit again?

Might be when neal is fit he could be on the bench for a long time if we sign alnwick.
