I would suggest that you keep your powder dry before telling me and and everyone else who has a different opinion than you how negative we are. When we have new strikers in scoring goals for fun I will hold my hand up and say 'I was wrong' until then like me just keep your powder dry is my advice.

 

Obviously we're going to sign strikers but just because we haven't yet, you're just playing the percentages (and crying over Pope still presumably).The fact that you'd rather be negative and be proved right (as it stands) than positive and risk being wrong says it all. Utterly ridiculous

One or two have questioned those figures though Howjy. With Pope, Williamson, Lines and Verseli gone I too find the figures a little suspect.

 

Pope/Marshall/Williamson/Lines/Veseli/Robertson/Mo/Nimely and Brown now counts as coaching staff......then again 5 new signings and the budget

down from 2.4 million to 1.7 million.....a 700k cut in the playing budget......the playing budget is spent and Page forgot to sign any strikers so it

looks like loans and development strikers.

Almost like the summer of 2001, when we signed 20-year-old's Stephen McPhee and Stephen Brooker.

 

What an absolute disaster that turned out to be...

No it doesn't smack of desperation, it makes sense. Jesus, Boro got to the Championship play off final with a loanee as top goal scorer

Will you just take a break from ovf/football then return in a couple of weeks when we will have signed two strikers! Youre just panicking yourself for no reason at the minute!!

It really dosent smack of desperation. I'd much prefer us to give a prem youngster a go rather than some journeyman. Just look at how many sign for league 1 clubs and impress.

I don't like football manager gorgeous, but I do like having two goal scoring strikers on long contracts and not Harry panyotiou, sitting on the bench for the duration of the season. I'll come on here and give my opinion when I want Jacob, I don't have to pay you for expressing my views, thankfully, else I'd have to open up a registered charity. How any of you can sit there and not be worried when page starts talking about loan signings, after last years farce god only knows.

 

And before you state the obvious and say ryan inniss was a revelation, yes he was, but bring into the equation o Sullivan, panayiotiou, luer, coullibally, then I'd much prefer he finds some way of blackmailing players into joining us permenantly.

We haven't had one free scoring striker for 2 years let alone 2. I'm happy to give Smurf andvpage time to bring in the right type of player for us. They haven't let us down with signings so far this summer have they.
