Season ticket sales

Got mine yesterday. 2 adults plus 2 kids in Lorne Street. Total cost £1010. It would have been nice to have either a small discount on 3 of the tickets or a voucher to spend in the club shop, as we really don't need a programme each. A chunky expense for the average family of 4, and a position that may be putting other families off.

Also fetched the grandads tickets, so 6 in total. Hopefully numbers are coming along well.

Now you can talk other people into paying on the day and tell them you will give them a free programme!

You did get a discount, you got the early bird price.

Also purchased mine & one junior season ticket for youngest son. Don't always go to all the home games with work commitments - about 16-17 per season. It still works out cheaper for me to purchase a season ticket. I will return to North Staffs one day to enjoy my retirement & to watch all the Vale games at the reduced rate!

Not disputing that, but a free programme priced into the overall cost, and therefore when buying as a family the free programme x 4 for one household is less of an incentive.

Trying to attract families as a whole can only be good for the club, and £1000 for the average family of 4 is a lot of money to find. A modest discount reflecting the fact that the free programme is not an incentive on tickets 2.3 and 4 was the point I was making.

Ha! Are you really a pensioner? I genuinely assumed you were about 17 (from your writing, not your appearance (which I have never seen (probably))).

Do you seriously want to retire to stoke?

...I was thinking along exactly the same lines! Leek would 'soften the blow,' but the best solution to me would be to stay in Cheltenham!

However, I do believe that Stoke on Trent is considering applying to be the UK's next City of Culture... which just goes to show how well comedy is thriving in this area!!!
