Obviously the new Mourinho this fella

From todays Senile:

ACHIEVING a greater level of consistency to performances and results will be key for Port Vale next season.

That’s the view of new assistant boss Paul Bodin as the Vale go in to their third season in League One looking to build on last year’s 18th placed finish.

He said: “We want to hit some consistency throughout the season.

“There’s no doubt that pre-season will play a key part in that in getting the players as fit as possible and preparing them for the battles ahead.

“There’s a lot of games in a short period of time when the season kicks off and it’s a long season as we’ve seen this year.

Brilliant stuff Paul, welcome to Vale Park :D

Bleeding and obvious comes to mind--but let's give the lad a chance!

Miles better than the drivel, boring old same old, same old from previous interviews from Vale Park!

As has been said Bodin is stating the obvious and is trying to build bridges here by getting optimistic words over. We'll see if all the talk matures into the anticipated successful, entertaining team he professes to make us into. Can't wait now for the season to begin and hope Bodin sees potential in the training sessions that his predecessors continually talked about but did diddly sqaut to improve!

Ridiculous comments yet again from fans....will there ever be a point where we are all behind everything that is Port Vale? We know nothing about this guys influences and capabilities, yet some jump on his first breath? Its a joke, we must really struggle to attract anyone knowing the stick they could come in for!

My personal stance is I'm not happy with Page (for reasons I've stated elsewhere and won't go into now) and I think Ben Williamson is ****ing rubbish but I'll be jiggered if I don't give them my support. Page will either sink or swim and now has no excuses. I'd love him to get it right, doubt he will but stranger things have happened and until it is patently apparent he's messing it up, I'll back him

Tenner says Bodin is the next manager though, because that's how it works right?

I think this site should now be known as nonevalefans as reading a lot of the posts makes me feel that most on here can not really be Vale fans at all.

I don't think questioning loyalties is the way to go old boy. We had a toss end to the season and people are still ****** off- come July when the friendlies kick off and we've signed a couple of players, there'll be a renewed sense of optimism. There's always the odd WUM/ ******** even when things are going well, so I wouldn't start getting too annoyed

I'm hoping that Vale's dire performances under Page (surely not even his greatest advocates can pretend otherwise) were down to the paucity of good advice from his two sidekicks last season. Here's to hoping that Bodin knows what he is talking about and that he can deliver and that Page listen's to him if he offers good, sound advice.

Who knows but here's to genuinely hoping for a better season.
