New Home Kit to be Unveiled on Sunday

Shame in a way, I really liked this season's home shirt. It's the first one we've had in a long time that could have lasted a second year.

 

 

Yes, it is a good one - let's hope they don't change it too much. I rememberbeing horrified b=when the black and white striped front one came out, we looked like a Geordie pub team's reserves and had some players who played like it at the time too.

Good of Smurf to keep the away shirt rather than changing them both for the hell of it. Just hope we keep that blue goalie kit - that's my favourite Vale shirt in years!

As others have said it's great that away strips being kept. Get back to the early 90's plan of changing home/away kits alternate years. Fairer for the fans, and may well see an increase on sale of other merchandise with people not forking out on 2 strips each season

We have done, as have most, for a good few years. In the promotion season it was more often than that. Continuity of sponsorship and kit provider will hopefully see kit designs lasting for more than 1 season.

What I was meaning is I thought there was an FA rule against changing the shirt every season.

Not any more. Not sure when/why it got phased out -although I'm thinking maybe money has something to do with it..... Pretty much every team gets itself a new set of kits home/away/third each season - not just when they get new sponsors or manufacturers.

 

Ironically I bet a fair few people would be more inclined to buy one if they knew it would be kept for 2 seasons.
