Amazing range here. I play (singer-songwriter stuff; no guitar wiz!) and I'm always made aware of how many different kinds of good guitarist there are.

You get blues virtuosos like Clapton, jazzers like Pat Metheny, perfect fast fingerpickers (Joan Baez would be one), hypnotic riff-creators like Keef, subtle folk-bluesers (RIP John Renbourn), daring improvisers like Garcia -it's endless.

They say you're never more than metre from a rat; these days, I always assume I'm never more than 400 metres from a brilliant - and virtually unknown - guitarist. Good! thanks, everyone.
