Coventry 7th March - Ticket news/information/the game itself

As I am sure you are all aware CCFC was my Football Club and Coventry my birth/home City

Due to the logistics the easiest option would be going on supporters coaches.

The Stadium is just off J3 of M6 and the choice of local pubs is very poor

I would not recommend you go by train as l suspect the police may run a compulsory bus service to the ground which l would not wish to travel by and still no chance of a shandy

From memory the drinks are cheaper in the attached Casino than in the concourse which was free entry

I cannot describe the pride l will take in representing our great Club in my home City and look forward to a large following and a great match day experience

any trouble just chuck 'em into that polluted open sewer they call the river trent, they'll soon sober up after swallowing a few mouthfuls of that evil smelling gunge.

The Trent is a long throw from Coventry.

Depends howe fast you walk I guess! Avoids the bottleneck closer to the ground and the chance of a clamping. On the way you can stop off at the Longford Engine for a rest.

 

I know the best place to park but I'm not telling you lot!!

This is off the Coventry City website..You can pre book your parking ticket. Looks reasonably priced too..

Thought you might of put some free buses on smurf!! As its your local team!!! But going be a great away day train and taxi I think Is the best option as don't no where to park!

when i travel from coventry to stoke i always break the journey up via wolverhampton as travel by train in the west midlands area is cheap so an off peak return from cov to wolves is less than a fiver, wolves to stoke off peak return is £11.60. If your traveling to nuneaton break it down via stafford, off peak return stoke to stafford is £6.70 while off peak return from stafford to nuneaton is £6.80

We'd sold around 250 earlier today. Should be 800-1000 sold before next weekend you would imagine. A few will see what the results are this week I would think.

Also spoke to ticket office this morning, they also quoted a similar figure in terms of number of tickets sold so far.

 

They confirmed that this game is actually NOT an all-ticket game for away fans,

 

Therefore tickets can be purchased by away fans from the Ricoh Arena on the day of the game if required/needed.

you can POTD in cash (at kiosk) at the same price - so I doubt we'll sell many tickets and most will do this.

Bristol Rovers Memorial Ground was a Rugby stadium when we've played there, maybe Watford and Reading too?

 

Wasn't Twerton Park (where Rovers used to play many moons ago) Bath's rugby ground??

I don't think so just Bath City FC and Rovers when we got promotion in '89.

According to Wike, Bath rugby always had thier own ground. Rovers took over Bristol rugby ground, who now play at Ashton Gate.
