Great - I can't make this one but as it's just up the road I'll make the rearranged fixture. Sorry for those of you who have made plans if this is the case. Being a bit selfish here.

I was planning on going to this game on Saturday. Only just found it was all ticket. What a ridiculous decision that is! So now that puts me in the laughable situation of the game probably being off but in case it isn't I have to buy my ticket tomorrow morning just in case with no guarantee I would be able to attend the rearranged fixture. Pathetic.

Im assuming that the tickets that stop being sold at 2pm tomorrow will go back on sale next week if the game is off on Saturday. Then those who can't make it on Sat will still be able to get a tkt for the rearranged midweek fixture. Anyone know if this will be the case?

I've got into dozens of supposedly all-ticket games over the years. Use common sense. Present yourself on the day at the ticket office "sans couleurs" and explain you don't live in the Potteries and no, you didn't look at the internet. You went to the last home game but nothing was announced about Barnsley being all-ticket. You have now travelled all that way and are simply wanting to watch the game.

 

In my experience, if you turn up sober and are polite to the ticket office staff you will get in.

 

There will be tickets available on the day. This is Barnsley, not Barcelona.

Ludicrous that this game is all-ticket - that doesn't help with crowd control at all, if that is the idea. Except perhaps to lower the gate overall, maybe that is the idea.

Since I shall be catching a 7 o'clock bus to the station, I hope they make a decision as to whether the match is on today, rather than, as usual, waiting till away supporters are in a pub near the ground.

Seriously, you would get in tomorrow and most "all ticket" games.

 

Barnsley v Vale being all-ticket is an attempt to gauge how many Vale will bring using pre-sold ticket figures.

 

This is because between them, South Yorkshire and Staffordshire Police cannot handle a couple of dozen hooligans.

I hope that I could make the rearranged match, but you never know. Seems unfair that they make it all ticket considering the distance and the fact that we have hooligans like anyone else, but this is not really the match to have them at. Crewe or chesterfield maybe
