Just heard Phil Thompson( good bloke by the way Beechy) saying he thinks Sterling is being advised to move and he won't even accept 150k a week if offered by Liverpool.

 

To be honest his attitude stinks. He has the potential to be a fantastic player, I won't change my mind about that, but I think he's getting too much far too soon as is usually the case with English players. He owes Rodgers as it's the manager that has helped him really progress in the last 24 months or so, but I won't be too surprised if he ends up leaving.

 

What I will say is that we already have a fantastic replacement for him in Jordan Ibe, who is a much better player than Sterling was at that age. The money for Sterling could then be used on another striker and midfield player to replace Gerrard as best as possible. I'd like to see him stay and kick on further but bigger players than him have left the club before.

I think I mentioned that Ibe would be a better player eventually.Take the money would be my advice to Rodgers.

Sterling thinks he's better than he actually is. What has he actually done to warrant a contract that big??Obviously he'll sign, he's doing what Rooney use to do in the past with his contracts..

 

I agree. But the fact that pretty much every top side in Europe will be in for him shows that he's a player of unlimited potential.
