Don't think Mignolet, who's been fantastic over the last couple of months, could have done anything about any of those goals. We need a new keeper to push him though as Brad Jones wouldn't get in the Vale side ahead of Neal.

The difference being that we had a Gerrard then who was in his prime and able to change games on his own. Moreno is a winger, he hasn't got a clue how to defend, and a lot of goals come down his side. Markovic should be doing so much better for the money he cost too. In fairness Arsenal can punish any side on their day, and after the result against United heads were always likely to drop after conceding which is exactly what happened.

Hope Liverpool finish 7th now, can't be doing with the Europa League. Nobody can argue that Rodgers and Liverpool didn't do extremely well to almost turn the season around completely after such a poor first few months, but these two losses have obviously been the nail in the coffin in regards to Champions League football next season. If I was Rodgers I would go for Morgan Schneiderlin in the summer (providing that the likes of Arsenal don't go in for him) to partner Henderson and Can in midfield, and perhaps use the Sterling money to bring in Walcott, who seems surplus to requirements at Arsenal and is a boyhood Liverpool fan I believe, and a couple of proper full-backs and perhaps someone like Charlie Austin or Danny Ings as back-up/alternative.

That still looks more than decent, and isn't unrealistic at all.
