That would have been the case anyway, irrespective of whether one of Jackson/Meigh had stayed or Mark Sims had come on the board - Mark couldn't outvote the others. Having Micky there is IMHO irrelevant.

 

If another EGM is called, then Micky would have to nail his colours to the mast - or stay neutral. My guess would be the latter.

 

If MA becomes the 4th director, the ameriturf deal will sail through and we will have another 2 directors (of Pratty's choice) on the board. And part of the plan is that Rob Lee will become Chairman.

Well, he's certainly changed his tune from the last time he commented on the politics of the Club. He didn't want to be involved. He was bored of it. Yes, that was a year ago but a complete turnaround? What football related reasons has he done it for?

Agree with Essex Valiant. He hasnt nailed his colour ro V2001 at all.... he just wants to be able to sign players when he gets back off holiday. As it is at the moment hel be left in limbo, not able to sign players and miss out on potential transfer targets. Adams coming back was best bit of news Vale have had in years and Mo even said hell support him. But do agree the trio of Bratt, Oliver and Llyod need to go.....just dont blame Adams!!!!!!

It's common knowledge and was discussed with Mike Lloyd at BGWMC. Ameriturf wanted it as purely a sponsorship deal, but Pratty insists on them having 2 seats on the board in return for their approx £400k "investment". Brian Melzack from Ameriturf has confirmed this. Pratt needs to strengthen the ring of steel surrounding him and his mates!

I'll have to be a dissenting voice I'm afraid.

 

Adams is doing this so the club can trade, being one short of a full board. I think that's his only motivation and if you think that means he'll support V2001 in the current dispute, why not ask him? I gather both B & G and NLV have asked precisely this question and his answer is awaited.

 

Until the answer comes I suggest we lay off. Otherwise we risk throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

 

But if Adams is voted onto the board, we can forget any hope of removing the other three. It will be back to business as usual. Plus mixing the playing side with the boardroom is a recipe for disaster. A vote for Adams is effectively a vote to reappoint Peter Jackson, because you can guarantee it will be him pulling the strings.

 

If you ask me, Mickey is being as devious as his paymasters here. Its just another obvious display of his acting in his own self interest not that of the club!

Mickey ain't even passed the vote yet, if mark Simms joins the board does that mean he backs v2001 aswell? no. NLV have the chance to put mo forward to be voted on the board, so what are they waiting for?

I totally agree but with minimum number of directors in place as it is at the moment we wont sign any!!!!! Ideal scenario would be board to go, Mo to come in and Adams to stay. He just wants build a team for promotion, not to pledge loyalty to V2001

Again, why? Adams has no more loyalty to Bratt than he does Mo (or he wouldn't have b*gg*r*d off to Sheffield United).

 

What he does have loyalty to though is his pay packet and to his own success as a manager. There's his motivation, no more, no less. Who pays him is irrelevant in this context - if it was Mo fighting to keep V2001 out, he'd be doing the same thing.
