Good luck to him. I hope he has learned to resist provocation. He helped Vale out at a difficult time and enabled Streete to bed in before being thrown in.

I know it's dodgy to judge a player on one appearance but the one time I saw him (versus Yeovil) he looked pretty decent.

 

I appreciate that Streete has masses of potential and therefore is clearly the better option for us, but I think that if Zubar gets more match fitness, he could be a decent signing for York. After all, he was decent for us and that was after he hadn't played any senior football for about 12 months.

 

I guess it's just be whether he'll be able to stop picking up niggling injuries. There are some players (Walsh, Matthews) where you could see the potential but it was never realised because they were always picking up knocks.

Shame we couldn't get Robbo out, as on early evidence Zubar looked much more solid, and Page said on several occasions that he loved the battle and defending. May be one we see again

Sincere best wishes and good luck to a player whose only problem at Vale was the timing of events, and the fact that 2 of the main games he played were at Deepdale in the middle of PNE's 8-game run of wins.

He impressed me in the JPT game, and was truly unlucky to have to face one of football's biggest disgraces called Joe Garner twice in quick succession when he really only had 3 games to prove himself.

Vale probably made the correct decision here, and the player is better off getting first team time at York, as I am sure he will - it would be great if York played Preston in the FA cup and SZ scored the winning goal and saw Garner get sent off.

I would think Keith Slowe would be most at threat from Zubar but they're probably both worried.

 

Zubar's a decent player but the way Bournemouth are playing his road back to their team will be a tough one.

After his sending off I don't think Smurf wanted to keep him. This is evidenced by his comments on RS when N'Guessan arrived.

 

Whether the sending off was the cause, and whether Page agreed with the move, we can only speculate.

Presumably we can always re-sign him on loan in the future, if and when Street's stay with us runs out? In meantime he is getting fitter and playing games elsewhere, which can only be good for him.

He was also excellent away at Preston, until he got sent off. Garner had to resort to ridiculous tactics.

Strange one this. Brilliant signing for York. Very surprised he's gone to that level.
