Not shocked the players, bar Brown were a disgrace I thought on Tuesday. Wish him all the best he has been a fantastic manager when you consider what he achieved in the circumstances. He's left before the sensible core of fans seriously started to call for change. We owe him a lot.

There is a strong possibility that adams left because it suited adams, not because it was best for vale... which I dont blame him for

Timing of this decision is quite strange, perhaps Micky has something lined up already. I've got mixed feelings over today, as his tactics were mostly predictable and often one dimensional, but his presence seemed to galvanise the whole club (until recently). Perhaps he should have left at the end of last season and given the new manager the full scope of the budget to build a new squad, as I feel he was never really committed 100% and was simply waiting for a better offer over the early part of the summer. As for the replacement, Rob Page will obviously be the cheapest and easiest option but long term I feel it's time for a complete sweep of the coaching staff.

 

I would imagine Smurf feels quite let down by Adams.

I dont get the martyring og Adams. Yes he helped us out of a mess and got us promotion he was more than willing to fully accept the plaudits. However when it was going wrong and he made poor tactical decisions he never put his hands up or accepted blame. I thank him for what he did but the style of football was poor and the crowds were getting less. Its football its how it works people come n go get over it and move on.

I think Micky was looking for a new job midway through last season, however, positions such as the Gillingham job didn't fall his way.

Micky does what he wants which is fine when things are going well, when they aren't then....

That said he has done a good job for the majority of his reign and I wish him well
