Adams resigns

I enjoyed listening to that and I'm pleased he has gone before the fans got on his back as we appreciate the job he has done here. They are words spoken from the heart aren't they?

And he's left without saddling us with a huge compensation package which is also a good thing. Not many would have done that.

Agree that sounds pretty genuine to me, I wish Micky all the best.

The good times have far outweighed the bad in his reign

The first rough patch and the knives are out, as a bunch of supporters I really do wonder how supportive we are.

1 away win in 10 months.

A goal difference of minus 21 in 53 League 1 games (which we've done little to address)

6 defeats on the trot (worst run in 6 years)

Adams did well by this club in his first spell, and did well in challenging circumstances in the 2nd spell but let's not kid ourselves, this has been a lot more than a "rough patch."

Micky Adams didn't say that. That was what FATBOYSTEVE was saying, but he obviously messed up the quote.

The quote is right whoever said it, they are the players that MA brought in & the lack of performance on the pitch & MA picked the players, why was there no wingers on from the start on Tuesday?

There's no irony, the reason I posted **** off is because your posts are ridiculous, it's fair enough having an opinion but to say everyone else is blatantly wrong and that you hope we fail because of it isn't right.

I have never, ever wanted Vale to lose or fail in any way to back my agenda. I would absolutely love to be wrong and we're mid table by Christmas. I am merely concerned that it is a huge case of the grass is not always greener, and I certainly fear it will not be. I have been hugely against the calls for Adams to go and believe that has contributed to him walking out.

On what basis do you fear it won't be any better with another manager? It can't really get much worse than the start has been.

Those stats only go to prove that the promotion did give him more time than results deserved

Adams gave us our first promotion in a long time

He gave us a solid season in L1

He put together (what I think can be) a strong side in this league

And he left at the right time before he ruined all of the above.

Thanks Micky Adams, you should (and hopefully will be) remembered well by fans.
