The point I was making is let MA start with Dodds in a striking role. His goals/games ratio (even when considering some of the weird positions he`s been asked to play) must warrant him having an extended chance ahead of a couple of novices?

 

I'd rather Smurthwaite start than Dodds, never has a player flattered to deceive so much.

 

Personally I think we need to see these players rather than someone who has been consistently average at best or better still change the system to what a good proportion of the fan base can see to get the best out of Lines and O'Connor.

We do have a reserve team, we don't have a development team.

 

Campion hasn't played for us and Slew has played less than half an hour.

 

Looking at stats for other teams Csmpion is far and away superior than Dodds who has proven time and time again he turns up 6 times a season on average.

At what level has Campion scored though. I aren't knocking the lad because I hope he is a world beater for us I really do.

Ray Williams does his best and is definitely trying harder this season and has turned up for all the home games so far although sadly he doesn't seem to like O'Connor! ;)

Video looks like College soccer to me so not very high standard, not MLS or even the next tier down.

 

Good luck to the guy, hope he does well at Vale but I'd rather we spent the money on a defender.

 

You're right - Bellhaven Blazers is a college team and Baton Rouge play in the USL Pro League. To put it into perspective, the US Leagues go something like this:

 

Tier 1 - Major Soccer League (MSL)

 

Tier 2 - North American Soccer League (NASL)

 

Tier 3 - United Soccer Leagues Pro Division (USLPD)

 

The rest are all amateur teams. So, he hasn't played at a very high level - about Conference level or lower in the States though I couldn't speak for Sweden. Looks as if he has potential but definitely an understudy for Popey, a bit like Hugill I guess.

I have never heard of this new loan signing. He played for a small club, Norrby, in the third tier in Swedish football. Norrby is from the city of Borås which top team is Elfsborg who reguraly plays in Europa League.
