Spelling on the official site

Danish Valiant

Recommended Posts

Not to make a big deal out of it or anything, but I couldn't help but notice that the spelling and punctuation in this article;

http://www.port-vale.co.uk/news/article/20140724-micky-happy-with-progress-1778649.aspx

is just about abysmal...

English is not even my first language, and I could see it clear as day! I actually got annoyed reading it.

Who is supposed to proof read these things?

I understand they want to get it up in a hurry, but come on... This is embarrassing, as the official site is the clubs face to the general public.

This is the first sentence of the article I've linked to:

"Micky Adams was pleased to see his players put into action things they had worked on in training as they beat Bodmin Town last night in their second of a three-match pre-season tour of the south west."

If you were to read that out loud, at a pace where it was understandable to everyone, you would be out of breath halfway through...

As I said before, English is not my first language, but even so, I can still see several commas missing in that single sentence alone!

You are absolutely right, but unfortunately English is a second language these days. Most people can only write (or should I say type?) in text speak.
